Carson Crawford, a four-star wing/small forward in the 2027 class from Florida, is down to five suitors in his recruitment, including Syracuse basketball, according to national analysts.

The top five of the 6-foot-7, 180-pound Crawford include the Orange, Arizona State, Ole Miss, fellow Atlantic Coast Conference school Florida State and Providence, a Big East Conference squad that will play SU on Saturday, Dec. 19, at the TD Garden in Boston.

According to his bio on Rivals, Crawford has upcoming official visits set to Arizona State and Providence. As for the Orange, Crawford plans to take an official visit to Syracuse basketball in the fall, although the dates for this trip to Central New York haven't been finalized yet, Inside the Loud House has learned.

The new 'Cuse staff under first-year head coach Gerry McNamara offered a scholarship to Crawford in late May of this year. His full scholarship offer sheet features other teams such as Arizona State, Cincinnati, Jacksonville, Virginia Tech, Florida State, Florida A&M, Le Moyne, Florida Atlantic, Georgia, Providence, USF, Texas A&M and Ole Miss.

Two weekends ago in North Augusta, S.C., amid a live period on the AAU circuits, Crawford helped lead the Orlando, Fla.-based Florida Rebels to the Peach Jam championship in the main 17U division of Nike's EYBL league.

In the final game, Crawford tallied 25 minutes, eight points, six rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal. For all of Peach Jam, he averaged 7.9 points, 8.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists per contest while hitting on 55.6 percent from the field and 75.0 percent from the free-throw line.

Crawford, as a junior at Fleming Island High School in Fleming Island, Fla., averaged 17.2 points, 9.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 2.5 steals and 1.3 blocks per game as his team went 23-9 overall and reached the title encounter of the Florida High School Athletic Association ("FHSAA") Class 5A state playoffs, per MaxPreps.

Within the 2027 cycle, the industry-generated 247Sports Composite places Crawford at No. 50 overall, No. 12 at small forward and No. 11 in Florida. Over at the industry-generated Rivals Industry Ranking, he's No. 45 nationally, No. 10 at small forward and No. 9 in the Sunshine State.

Syracuse basketball coaches are honing in on several 2027 targets these days. Three have scheduled official visits to the Hill. They are four-star power forward Ian Condon (September 1 to September 2), four-star point guard J'Lon Lyons (September 11 to September 13) and five-star wing/forward Ahmed Nur (August 28 to August 30).
