Ahmed Nur, one of the fastest-rising prospects in the 2027 class, will take an official visit to Syracuse basketball in late August, according to Rivals.
The five-star power forward/center will officially visit the Orange from August 28 to August 30. Inside the Loud House reported late last week that the 6-foot-10 Nur would go on an official visit to the 'Cuse program, but the dates hadn't been finalized.
Nur, a top-25 national prospect in the 2027 cycle, has previously taken an official visit to Purdue and an unofficial visit to Minnesota. Per Rivals, he will officially visit Washington from September 6 to September 8.
The new Orange staff under first-year head coach Gerry McNamara offered a scholarship to Nur last month. In June, he won MVP at the prestigious NBPA Top 100 Camp in Rock Hill, S.C., with McNamara and many other college coaches in attendance.
Nur's full offer list, which totals more than two dozen, includes teams such as BYU, Miami, Rutgers, Kansas, Indiana, Texas, Utah State, Purdue, Florida State, Xavier, Minnesota, UNLV, SMU, Cincinnati, Ole Miss, Alabama, Georgia Tech, Arizona State, West Virginia, Mississippi State, Washington, San Diego State, Penn State, St. Bonaventure, Charlotte, Wake Forest and Providence.
Syracuse basketball has multiple official visits on the calendar.
For his senior year in the 2026-27 campaign, Nur has transferred from Hopkins High School in Minnetonka, Minn., to CIA Bella Vista in Phoenix, which is a member of the 15-team Nike Elite Youth Basketball League Scholastic ("EYBL Scholastic"). In 2025-26, CIA Bella Vista won the high school national title after claiming this past April's Chipotle Nationals in Fishers, Ind.
On the Adidas 3SSB circuit, Nur is competing for the 17U team of the Milwaukee-based Power 5. Last weekend, the Orange coaching staff was on hand during a live period as the Adidas 3SSB league held a session in Bryan, Texas.
At least two other priority recruits for Syracuse basketball in the 2027 class have also scheduled official visits to the program.
Ian Condon, a four-star power forward, will officially visit SU from September 1 to September 2, Inside the Loud House first reported. The 6-foot-7, 245-pound Condon attends the Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C., and plays for the 17U squad of the Baltimore-based Team Melo in Nike's EYBL league.
J'Lon Lyons, a four-star point guard out of the Clinton Grace Christian School in Clinton, Md., will take his official visit to the Orange from September 11 to September 13, I've confirmed with a source. The 6-foot-3, 165-pound Lyons, on the EYBL circuit, plays for the D.C.-based Team Takeover.
