The nation's premier high school hoops conference, the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League Scholastic ("EYBL Scholastic"), will have 15 member institutions in the 2026-27 season, along with Syracuse basketball recruiting connections.
The EYBL Scholastic features some of the top independent basketball academies and prep-school programs around the country. Here are the 15 members for 2026-27:
•AZ Compass Prep School in Chandler, Ariz.
•CIA Bella Vista in Phoenix
•Dream City Christian School in Glendale, Ariz.
•Faith Family Academy in Dallas
•Iowa United Prep in Des Moines, Iowa
•La Lumiere School in La Porte, Ind.
•Long Island Lutheran High School in Brookville, N.Y.
•Masters Academy International in Stow, Mass.
•Monarch Academy in Kansas City, Kan.
•Montverde Academy in Montverde, Fla.
•Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Va.
•St. James Academy in Springfield, Va.
•Tennessee Collegiate Academy in Millington, Tenn.
•Veritas Academy in Santa Fe Springs, Calif.
•Wasatch Academy in Mount Pleasant, Utah
At least seven of the above schools boast rosters with Orange recruiting targets, and we'll likely get to watch some of these recruits on national television at various EYBL Scholastic showcases. Let's further break this down.
Syracuse basketball targets who play in the EYBL Scholastic.
AZ Compass Prep
Zion Green will spend the upcoming season with the Dragons. The new Syracuse basketball staff under first-year head coach Gerry McNamara has re-offered Green, a 2027 four-star forward who took an unofficial visit to the 'Cuse in late August of last year.
CIA Bella Vista
The new Orange staff has offered four players who will suit up for the national championship Bears in 2026-27. They are 2027 five-star wing/forward Ahmed Nur, 2028 four-star forward Isaiah Clarke, 2028 five-star point guard Liam Mitakaro and 2028 four-star forward Settimo Yugu. Nur is a priority target for SU in 2027 and will take an official visit to the program in late August.
Iowa United Prep
Malik Moore, a 2028 four-star point guard, recently announced that he would transfer from Union Catholic High School in Scotch Plains, N.J., to Iowa United Prep. Since the 2028 contact period opened on June 15, Moore has heard from the 'Cuse coaching staff.

La Lumiere
Devin Cleveland, offered a scholarship by Syracuse basketball in July, is a 2027 four-star point guard. On Thursday, he dropped a top seven that includes the Orange. Inside the Loud House anticipates that Cleveland will take an official visit to SU at some point.
Long Island Lutheran
Moussa Kamissoko, a 2027 five-star wing/small forward with the Crusaders, was first offered by the former Orange staff under then-head coach Adrian Autry in late December 2024. Inside the Loud House is told that Kamissoko is a priority target for SU in this class, and Syracuse basketball coaches are working to get him on campus for a visit.
Masters Academy International
Kevin Wheatley Jr., a 2028 five-star wing at the newly formed Masters Academy International, has been re-offered by the new Orange staff, and he took an unofficial visit to the Hill last December.
Montverde
The Eagles, led by head coach and DMV legend Steve Turner, boast a loaded roster that features 2028 five-star wing Isaiah Hamilton and fellow 2028 five-star wing Xavier Skipworth. The Orange is in pursuit of Hamilton, while Skipworth has heard from the new Syracuse basketball staff since June 15.
