Sousa is competing in the 2026-27 season for the powerhouse Spire Academy in Geneva, Ohio. So, too, is Kamissoko. Per an Instagram post from Spire, the 6-foot-10, 205-pound Sousa spent the last two campaigns playing for Valencia Basket Club S.A.D., a professional club in Valencia, Spain.
Syracuse basketball has offered 2028 four-star center Miguel Sousa.
Within the high school junior class, 247Sports places Sousa at No. 64 overall, No. 11 at center and No. 1 in Ohio. The industry-generated 247Sports Composite has him at No. 56 nationally, No. 12 at center and No. 1 in Ohio.
In September, the 6-foot-8, 180-pound Kamissoko verbally committed to the Orange, joining three-star wing Jack Donohue in the team's 2027 class. Kamissoko, who hails from the Bronx, N.Y., is ranked No. 9 nationwide in the high school senior cycle by Rivals. Here's an in-depth scouting report on Kamissoko.
Last month, word broke that Spire would be part of an 11-team international league called ATLAS. Programs from the United States that are in ATLAS include Spire, the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., Prolific Prep in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., the Sunrise Christian Academy in Bel Aire, Kan., and the DME Academy in Daytona Beach, Fla.
At IMG, 2028 five-star small forward Will Brunson holds a scholarship offer from the 'Cuse. The same is true for 2028 five-star point guard Michai White, who suits up at Prolific Prep. Since the fall recruiting period began in September, the Syracuse basketball staff has been on hand during open gyms at Spire, IMG and Prolific Prep, Inside the Loud House has reported.
