This weekend, Syracuse basketball 2027 verbal pledge Jack Donohue from Albany, N.Y., took his official visit to the Orange program. The 6-foot-8, 220-pound Donohue, a three-star wing, verbally committed to the 'Cuse in early August after taking an unofficial visit to SU in late June.
Donohue and his family had a terrific time on their official visit, Inside the Loud House is told. Donohue attended a Syracuse basketball practice, spent time with the team and took in Syracuse football's thrilling upset of No. 19 SMU on Saturday afternoon at the JMA Wireless Dome.

Donohue is an underrated prospect in the high school senior class. He missed about 10 months last year because he had to undergo open-heart surgery. Since his verbal pledge to the 'Cuse over the summer, multiple analysts, scouts and coaches have told Inside the Loud House that Donohue is an elite shooter who will evolve into a four-star prospect with a strong upcoming senior season at The Newman School in Boston.
Jack bleeds Orange. He's a hard-working, polite and humble young man. On a personal note, I've gotten to know his dad, Darren Donohue, in recent months. Jack Donohue's parents are extremely excited that their son will play for head coach Gerry McNamara and the Orange program.
Syracuse basketball hosted 2027 verbal commit Jack Donohue on an official visit this past Friday and Saturday.
Donohue is one of two verbal pledges for the 'Cuse in its 2027 class. The second commit is five-star wing/small forward Moussa Kamissoko from the Bronx, N.Y. The 6-foot-8, 180-pound Kamissoko, who verbally committed to SU in late September, is a senior at the Spire Academy in Geneva, Ohio.
Inside the Loud House spoke to analysts and scouts about Kamissoko in this article. Currently, Syracuse basketball's two-member 2027 class is inside the top 25 nationally, according to 247Sports.
Since the start of the fall recruiting period in September, Orange assistant coach Arinze Onuaku has been in for Donohue during an open gym at Newman, Inside the Loud House has reported. Previously, Donohue played for the Christian Brothers Academy in Albany.
While McNamara was still leading Siena, he offered a scholarship to Donohue. This past March, SU officials named McNamara as the Orange's next head coach. Several Siena assistants, including Ben Lee, moved over to the 'Cuse from the Saints.
On June 25, Donohue disclosed that Syracuse basketball coaches had offered him a scholarship. A little more than a month after that, Donohue verbally committed to the Orange. Inside the Loud House will track his senior year at Newman, which is a powerhouse prep program not just in the Northeast, but also on a national scale.
