Recruiting service Rivals recently refreshed its 2027 rankings, and a Syracuse basketball target resides in the No. 2 national spot.
Rivals includes 150 prospects in its 2027 national rankings. Checking in at No. 2 overall is Moussa Kamissoko, who received a scholarship offer from the Orange staff in late December of last year.
To date, 'Cuse coaches have offered a scholarship to at least 15 high school juniors for whom I'm aware, although one recruit, four-star point guard Dooney Johnson of Milwaukee Juneau High School, has verbally pledged to Gonzaga.

Jamie Shaw, a top national analyst/scout with Rivals, writes of Kamissoko: "You like his ability to guard across multiple positions, and the length, twitch, and instincts he naturally shows on that side of the ball. You also like his ball skills and processing, able to create advantages off the bounce and make reads as he puts two feet in the paint."
Green took an unofficial visit to the Orange in late August. Edema officially visited the program in mid-September. Lyons has expressed an interest in visiting the 'Cuse. Syracuse basketball coaches are evaluating Walters as a potential re-class candidate into the 2026 cycle, and let's see if the Orange staff gets him to Central New York for a visit at some point.
