Will Brunson, a fast-rising 2028 prospect who received a Syracuse basketball offer this past June, will take an unofficial visit to the Orange on December 17, according to 247Sports national analyst Dushawn London. On that date, by the way, Syracuse basketball will host Mercyhurst at the JMA Wireless Dome.
The 6-foot-5 Brunson, a four-star small forward, will also unofficially visit Oklahoma State on November 22 and fellow Atlantic Coast Conference school N.C. State on December 6, per London.

Brunson is a sophomore at the Rutgers Preparatory School in Somerset, N.J. On the AAU circuit last spring and summer, he competed for the 15U team of the New York City-based Renaissance Hoops in Nike's EYBL league.
The Orange coaching staff offered a scholarship to Brunson in late June. His full scholarship offer sheet also includes schools such as Mississippi State, TCU, Rutgers, Seton Hall, Notre Dame, La Salle, Auburn, Fairfield and Rider.
Brunson earned high praise earlier this year from analysts and scouts for his performances at various showcase events, including Philly Live in June and the Made Hoops East Mania in April.
Within the 2028 cycle, both 247Sports and the industry-generated 247Sports Composite place Brunson at No. 32 around the country, No. 10 at small forward and No. 2 in New Jersey.
Syracuse basketball will get a visit from 2028 4-star small forward Will Brunson.
To date, the Orange staff has offered a scholarship to at least 11 players in the 2028 class while showing an interest in other sophomores, some of whom competed in the team's annual Elite Camp this past August.
Another 'Cuse 2028 target is four-star combo guard and top-70 national prospect Carter Smith of the William Penn Charter School in Philadelphia. The 6-foot-4 Smith, offered by the Orange in late August of this year, had attended the Syracuse basketball Elite Camp.
Last weekend, before the 'Cuse took on Drexel in Philadelphia, the Syracuse basketball coaching staff was in for Smith at William Penn Charter.
Turning to the 2027 cycle, the Orange has offered a scholarship to at least 15 high school juniors. Five-star forward Zion Green of the Mt. Zion Preparatory Academy in Lanham, Md., took an unofficial visit to the 'Cuse in late August of this year.
A few weeks later, in mid-September, four-star center Theo Edema of the Cushing Academy in Ashburnham, Mass., went on an official visit to Syracuse basketball.
