Syracuse basketball first-year head coach Gerry McNamara and his staff attended multiple events this past weekend during a scholastic live period, as four-star and five-star recruiting targets suited up for their high school programs.

McNamara and his assistants were at DMV Live in Hyattsville, Md., Philly Live in Philadelphia and the Mid-Atlantic Independent School Team Camp in Allentown, Pa., according to recruiting analysts and social media posts. It's not clear to me if the Orange was on hand at the NEPSAC showcase in Worcester, Mass.

It's virtually impossible to know every single prospect whom the 'Cuse was watching from June 26 to June 28 amid the second of two scholastic live periods this month, but I do have a sense of some players whom Syracuse basketball coaches were evaluating. I want to caution that this article is not meant to be fully comprehensive.

Syracuse basketball was in the house this past weekend at several events.

DMV Live
•McNamara and his staff were in for 2027 four-star point guard J'Lon Lyons out of the Clinton Grace Christian School in Clinton, Md. Lyons, who has said that he wants to officially visit the Orange at some point, appears to be emerging as a priority recruit for SU in this cycle.

•I'm also fairly confident that the Orange watched 2028 five-star center Logan Chwastyk out of the Malvern Preparatory School in Malvern, Pa., and 2027 four-star shooting guard RJ Moore out of the Ambassador Christian School in Huntersville, N.C. Both hold scholarship offers from the 'Cuse.

•Additionally, at DMV Live, McNamara offered 2028 four-star wing Isaiah Carter of the Highland School in Warrenton, Va. It's safe to assume that the Syracuse basketball staff watched Carter over the weekend.

Philly Live
The SU staff was on hand for numerous games. They included:
•Archbishop Wood High School in Warminster, Pa., against St. John's College High School in Washington, D.C. Rowan Phillips, a 2028 four-star combo guard out of Archbishop Wood, is receiving interest from Syracuse.

•Father Judge High School in Philadelphia against Gonzaga College High School in D.C. Rezon Harris Jr., a 2028 four-star wing at Father Judge, held an offer from the former Orange staff under then-head coach Adrian Autry.

•Riverside Junior/Senior High School in Taylor, Pa., against Cherry Hill East High School in Cherry Hill, N.J. Nico Antoniacci, a 2028 guard out of Riverside, also held an offer from the prior SU staff.

•It wouldn't surprise me if Syracuse basketball was in for 2027 four-star power forward Ian Condon and 2028 point guard Jadah Washington out of the Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C. Condon holds an SU offer, while Washington has heard from the Orange since the 2028 contact period opened on June 15. Furthermore, the 'Cuse could have watched 2028 five-star point guard Malik Moore out of Union Catholic High School in Scotch Plains, N.J., who has heard from SU since June 15, too.

Mid-Atlantic Independent School Team Camp
•Syracuse basketball was in the house for a contest between the William Penn Charter School in Philadelphia and The Phelps School in Malvern, Pa. Carter Smith, a 2028 four-star combo guard out of Penn Charter, holds an Orange offer. For Phelps, 2028 three-star small forward Enmanuel Valera Melo has heard from SU coaches since June 15.

•It's also possible that the 'Cuse watched 2027 four-star shooting guard Kamari Whyte out of the Blair Academy in Blairstown, N.J., who is receiving interest from the Orange.
