Ahmed Nur, a fast-rising 2027 four-star power forward who recently picked up a scholarship offer from the new Syracuse basketball staff, is changing up schools for his senior year.

As first reported on X by national analyst Sam Kayser, the 6-foot-10 Nur is transferring to CIA Bella Vista in Phoenix, which is part of the loaded Nike Elite Youth Basketball League Scholastic ("EYBL Scholastic"). In the 2025-26 season, the EYBL Scholastic had 20 members.

Nur is moving from Hopkins High School in Minnetonka, Minn., to CIA Bella Vista, which had an incredible 2025-26 stanza. The Bears went 26-4 overall and were the unanimous No. 1 team around the country after winning this past April's Chipotle Nationals in Fishers, Ind. CIA Bella Vista also captured the EYBL Scholastic's post-season tournament in 2025-26.

The Bears should be familiar to some Syracuse basketball recruiting enthusiasts. The former Orange staff under then-head coach Adrian Autry had offered scholarships to several prospects who have suited up for CIA Bella Vista, including 2026 five-star point guard Miles Sadler (committed to West Virginia), 2026 four-star wing/small forward Vaughn Karvala (committed to Indiana) and 2027 five-star center Paul Osaruyi.

Syracuse basketball recently got into the mix for 2027 four-star power forward Ahmed Nur.

Earlier this month, Nur was named the MVP of the prestigious NBPA Top 100 Camp, an annual event held in Rock Hill, S.C., where the Orange staff, including first-year head coach Gerry McNamara, was on hand during an NCAA-permitted live period. Over four games at the camp, Nur averaged 14.8 points and seven rebounds per contest while connecting on 64 percent from the field and 58 percent from beyond the arc.

Understandably, Nur's recruitment is blowing up, with his full offer sheet including teams such as Kansas, Indiana, Texas, Utah State, Purdue, Florida State, Xavier, Minnesota, UNLV, SMU, Cincinnati, Ole Miss, Alabama, Georgia Tech, Arizona State, West Virginia, Mississippi State, Washington, San Diego State, Penn State, St. Bonaventure, Charlotte, Wake Forest and Providence.

Kayser's X post said that Syracuse basketball is among the suitors that Nur is hearing from the most these days, along with other college programs like Kansas, Purdue, Cincinnati, Indiana, Michigan, Ole Miss and Rutgers.

In the current AAU season, Nur has played at a high level on both ends of the floor for the 17U team of the Milwaukee-based Power 5 in the Adidas 3SSB league. He is a top-50 national prospect and a top-10 power forward in his class, according to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite and the industry-generated Rivals Industry Ranking.

Three other Syracuse basketball recruits who play in the EYBL Scholastic are 2027 five-star wing/forward Moussa Kamissoko out of Long Island Lutheran High School in Brookville, N.Y., 2027 four-star forward Godson Okokoh out of Iowa United Prep in Des Moines, Iowa, and 2027 five-star point guard King Gibson out of the Spire Academy in Geneva, Ohio.
