The Syracuse basketball staff, led by head coach Gerry McNamara, was on hand earlier this week during a live period at the annual National Basketball Players Association ("NBPA") Top 100 Camp.
Ahmed Nur, a 2027 four-star power forward, won the coveted MVP award at this year's Top 100 Camp, held in Rock Hill, S.C. The 6-foot-9 wing/forward, a fast-rising prospect in the rising high school senior class, has landed several new high-major scholarship offers over the past day or two, including from Syracuse basketball, per his Instagram page.
A huge congrats to Ahmed, who attends Hopkins High School in Minnetonka, Minn. This spring and summer on the AAU circuits, he's competing for the 17U team of the Milwaukee-based Power 5 in the Adidas 3SSB league.

The NBPA Top 100 Camp ran from June 8 to June 11, with an NCAA-permitted evaluation period taking place on June 10 and June 11. McNamara and a couple of SU assistant coaches were in attendance watching recruiting targets amid the live period.
Nur was outstanding at this prestigious camp. Over four games, as his team went 3-1 at the NBPA Top 100 Camp, Nur averaged 14.8 points and seven rebounds per contest while connecting on 64 percent from the field and a ridiculous 58 percent from beyond the arc.
Syracuse basketball continues to dole out 2027 offers.
According to his Instagram page and recruiting services, besides the 'Cuse, Nur holds offers from schools such as Arizona State, West Virginia, Mississippi State, Washington, San Diego State, Penn State, St. Bonaventure, Charlotte, Wake Forest, Providence, Georgia Tech, Alabama and Ole Miss.
During the Adidas league's second spring session, the scouting experts at The Circuit named Nur to their All-3SSB second team and their All-Defensive squad for that particular session, as he averaged 18.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 1.5 blocks per game.
Within the 2027 class, the industry-generated 247Sports Composite places Nur at No. 50 overall, No. 8 at power forward and No. 1 in Minnesota. Over at the industry-generated Rivals Industry Ranking, he is No. 45 nationally, No. 7 at power forward and No. 1 in Minnesota.
The new Syracuse basketball staff, under McNamara, has now offered or re-offered at least seven prospects in the 2027 cycle. They are Nur, four-star power forward Ian Condon out of the Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C., five-star point guard Nasir Anderson out of Prolific Prep in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., five-star point guard King Gibson out of the Spire Academy in Geneva, Ohio, four-star shooting guard RJ Moore out of the Ambassador Christian School in Huntersville, N.C., four-star center Caleb Ourigou out of the Atlanta-based league Overtime Elite and four-star center Lewis Uvwo, also out of Prolific Prep.
