The country's premier high school basketball conference, which features Syracuse recruits, is getting a significant makeover for the 2025-26 season.

In 2024-25, the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League Scholastic ("EYBL Scholastic") had 14 members, inclusive of top-flight independent basketball academies and prep-school programs. Last season, Syracuse basketball incoming freshmen Sadiq White Jr. and Kiyan Anthony suited up in the EYBL Scholastic.

According to a recent Instagram post, in 2025-26, the EYBL Scholastic will have 20 members. Nine new schools are coming on board, and three members from 2024-25 don't appear to be in the league for the upcoming campaign.

Below, I'll list all the EYBL Scholastic squads for 2025-26, and also mention some of the Syracuse basketball targets who play for these teams.

Syracuse basketball recruits compete in the nation's top high school conference.

•AZ Compass Prep School in Chandler, Ariz.
•Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, N.H.
•CATS Academy in Boston
•Christ School in Arden, N.C.
•CIA Bella Vista in Phoenix
•Dream City Christian School in Glendale, Ariz.
•Faith Family Academy in Dallas
•Iowa United Prep in Des Moines, Iowa
•La Lumiere School in La Porte, Ind.
•Link Academy in Branson, Mo.
•Long Island Lutheran High School in Brookville, N.Y.
•Montverde Academy in Montverde, Fla.
•Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Va.
•Spire Academy in Geneva, Ohio
•St. James Academy in Springfield, Va.
•Sunrise Christian Academy in Bel Aire, Kan.
•Tennessee Collegiate Academy in Millington, Tenn.
•Utah Prep in Hurricane, Utah
•Veritas Academy in Santa Fe Springs, Calif.
•Wasatch Academy in Mount Pleasant, Utah

Based on that Instagram post, the following three programs were in the EYBL Scholastic last season but aren't in 2025-26:
•IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.
•Legacy Early College in Greenville, S.C.
•Orangeville Prep in Mono, Ontario

I don't have any inside information here, but on the face of it, IMG not being in the EYBL Scholastic in 2025-26 is a surprise to me. The Ascenders are an elite program. White was an All-American at IMG as a senior, and Orange sophomore Donnie Freeman was also an All-American for the Ascenders the campaign before that.

Regarding EYBL Scholastic members in 2025-26, keep an eye on Oak Hill. Syracuse basketball legend Carmelo Anthony is now Oak Hill's co-general manager of basketball operations. I'd be stunned if we don't see more Oak Hill players land 'Cuse scholarship offers moving forward.

At Brewster, 2027 four-star wing/small forward Clyde Walters holds a Syracuse basketball offer, while 2028 four-star point guard Michai White is receiving interest from the Orange coaching staff, per reports.

After the 2027 contact period opened on June 15, two prospects at the CATS Academy heard from Syracuse basketball coaches. They are four-star point guard Josiah Adamson and four-star power forward/center Nicolas Mitrovic.

CIA Bella Vista's 2025-26 roster features a couple of Orange recruiting targets. Four-star wing/small forward Vaughn Karvala will officially visit the Hill in late September. Four-star big man Aliou Dioum has the 'Cuse in his top six. Paul Osaruyi, a 2027 five-star power forward/center, has a Syracuse basketball offer in hand.

Moussa Kamissoko of Long Island Lutheran, a 2027 five-star wing/forward, also holds an Orange offer. Over at Spire, 2026 five-star guard/small forward Alex Constanza has transferred there for his senior season. He officially visited the 'Cuse last October and may take a second trip to Syracuse basketball at some point, his dad has told me.
