Next week, Syracuse basketball will play three games in Las Vegas as part of the NIL-driven Players Era Festival. The Orange will face No. 2 Houston, No. 24 Kansas and a third foe that is to be determined.

Also next week, a Syracuse basketball five-star recruit, and former Orange targets, will compete in the Sin City as part of the Players Era High School Showcase that will take place on November 28 and November 29. On3/Rivals national reporter Joe Tipton noted this event in a post on X, and the games are also posted on Instagram by the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League Scholastic ("EYBL Scholastic").

As I reported in early September, the EYBL Scholastic has grown to 20 members for the upcoming 2025-26 season, and it is regarded as the premier high school hoops conference.

Four EYBL Scholastic members will suit up in the Players Era High School Showcase. They are CIA Bella Vista in Phoenix, Iowa United Prep in Des Moines, Iowa, the Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Va., and the Spire Academy in Geneva, Ohio.

A Syracuse basketball 2027 5-star recruit will play in Las Vegas.

Orange recruiting fanatics have heard of CIA Bella Vista. Vaughn Karvala, a 2026 four-star wing/small forward, was a 'Cuse target before committing to Indiana in early November. Earlier this week, former Syracuse basketball recruit Miles Sadler, a five-star point guard, pledged to West Virginia.

Another CIA Bella Vista player is 2027 five-star big man Paul Osaruyi. He landed a scholarship offer from the Orange last fall. Osaruyi is also potentially a re-class candidate into the 2026 cycle, according to analysts.

Oak Hill is a long-time powerhouse program in high school basketball. Several former Syracuse basketball standouts, including the legendary Carmelo Anthony, went there. Anthony, by the way, is the co-general manager of basketball operations at Oak Hill.

This brings us to Spire. Alex Constanza, a 2026 five-star guard/small forward, who officially visited the Orange in October of 2024, committed to Georgetown on November 1 of this year. Constanza transferred to Spire for his senior year.

Another transfer into this squad for the 2025-26 term was 2027 five-star combo guard and top-15 national prospect King Gibson. At this point, I don't believe the 'Cuse has offered a scholarship to Gibson. However, when the 2027 contact period opened up on June 15, Gibson did hear from Syracuse basketball, among other programs.
