Moussa Kamissoko, one of the top prospects in the 2027 class, held a scholarship offer from the former Syracuse basketball staff, led by then-head coach Adrian Autry.
The 6-foot-8, 180-pound Kamissoko, a five-star wing/small forward and a top-10 national prospect in his class, is also receiving interest from the new Orange staff, under first-year head coach Gerry McNamara. I had anticipated this, as noted in a recent article where I did a little social media sleuthing.
2027 5⭐️ Moussa Kamissoko is off to a strong start this spring/summer and is receiving interest from some high-level programs.

Per a post on X from national analyst Sam Kayser, the 'Cuse is among the programs that Kamissoko is hearing from the most these days, along with others such as Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Illinois, Virginia, where Autry is now an assistant coach, Alabama, Oklahoma State and BYU.
Awesome.
The former Orange coaching staff first offered a scholarship to Kamissoko in late December of 2024. He is a rising senior at Long Island Lutheran High School in Brookville, N.Y., which is a member of the loaded 20-team Nike Elite Youth Basketball League Scholastic ("EYBL Scholastic").
Syracuse basketball rising sophomore guard/wing Kiyan Anthony attended Long Island Lutheran before heading to the Hill. In recent years, the 'Cuse has pursued various players from that powerhouse prep program.
Syracuse basketball coaches are making another run at 2027 five-star prospect Moussa Kamissoko.
Within the 2027 class, the industry-generated 247Sports Composite places Kamissoko at No. 9 overall, No. 1 at small forward and No. 1 in New York. Over at the industry-generated Rivals Industry Ranking, he is No. 7 nationally, No. 1 at small forward and No. 1 in New York. Kamissoko's highest national ranking comes courtesy of Rivals, which has him at No. 4 overall.
Heck, yeah. I was hoping the new Syracuse basketball staff would also pursue the 5-star from LuHi. 🧡⬇️ https://t.co/e1fxHTYkWE

So far this season in grassroots hoops, Kamissoko is playing quite well for the 17U team of the Bronx, N.Y.-based PSA Cardinals in Nike’s EYBL league. The EYBL circuit has conducted three spring sessions to date, and the PSA Cardinals are 6-5 overall.
Kamissoko is averaging 17.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.4 steals per game while making 52.5 percent from the field, 38.7 percent from beyond the arc and 68.6 percent from the free-throw line.
In the 2027 cycle, Syracuse basketball is pursuing a handful of four-star and five-star prospects at this juncture, and that number will likely increase over time. Besides Kamissoko, other 2027 targets for the Orange include four-star power forward Ian Condon, four-star shooting guard RJ Moore, five-star point guard Nasir Anderson, four-star center Lewis Uvwo, five-star point guard King Gibson and four-star center Caleb Ourigou, among others.
