Boeheim's Army has boosted its frontcourt for the upcoming The Basketball Tournament ("TBT"), the $1 million, winner-take-all summer event that the team won back in 2021.

According to the TBT Web site and an article from Syracuse.com Hall of Fame writer Donna Ditota, center Noah Starkey has joined Boeheim's Army as part of its 2025 roster. A huge welcome from 'Cuse Nation to Noah!

The 6-foot-11, 250-pound Starkey currently suits up for the Oklahoma City Blue in the NBA's G League. During the 2024-25 season, he played alongside former Syracuse basketball star Buddy Boeheim, the shooting guard who will also compete for Boeheim's Army this summer.

In 2024-25, Starkey played in 30 games, starting 24 of them. He averaged 22 minutes, 7.1 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.2 blocks per contest while making 54.9 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from beyond the arc and 71.9 percent from the free-throw line.

Boeheim's Army has a strong roster for this summer's TBT.

In college, Starkey was a standout at Southern Nazarene in Bethany, Okla., which is a member of the Great American Conference, a Division II league. Over his four-year career at Southern Nazarene, he won numerous conference awards while averaging 10.9 points and 6.2 rebounds per game.

In 2018-19, his senior season, Starkey averaged 15.0 points, 7.6 boards, 1.1 assists and 1.97 blocks per encounter while connecting on 59.4 percent from the field.

Earlier this week, Boeheim's Army also brought on board a terrific point guard, Jacob Gilyard. He has played professionally in recent years in the NBA, the NBA's G League and overseas. Gilyard, in his five terms at Atlantic 10 Conference member Richmond, set the all-time Division I record in career steals, with 466.

The Boeheim's Army roster now sits at nine players, three of whom didn't play for Syracuse basketball. They are Starkey, Gilyard and former Buffalo star Nick Perkins, a power forward.

Currently, the six former Orange standouts who will compete for Boeheim's Army this summer are Buddy Boeheim, forward Jimmy Boeheim, center Rakeem Christmas, big man Chris McCullough, shooting guard Malachi Richardson and wing Elijah Hughes.

Syracuse will host one of the TBT's eight regionals this summer, with games to be played starting next month at the SRC Arena on the campus of Onondaga Community College. Boeheim's Army's head coach is 'Cuse assistant Allen Griffin, Jim Boeheim is the squad's head coach emeritus, and Adam Weitsman, the businessman and philanthropist, returns as chairman.
