Syracuse basketball is out of the running for 2026 four-star combo guard and top-60 national prospect Katrelle Harmon.
According to multiple media reports, the 6-foot-5, 180-pound Harmon has a top six of Alabama, Creighton, Iowa, Oregon, Rutgers, and Washington.
Harmon picked up a scholarship offer from the Orange in late May of this year. Per his bio on 247Sports, Harmon holds more than two dozen offers from a range of high-major programs.

On3/Rivals national reporter Joe Tipton notes in a piece that Harmon has officially visited Creighton and Iowa, taken unofficial visits to Oregon and Washington, and plans to schedule official visits to Alabama and Rutgers.
The Seattle native attends the powerhouse Wasatch Academy in Mount Pleasant, Utah, which is a member of the stacked Nike Elite Youth Basketball League Scholastic (“EYBL Scholastic”). Various other 'Cuse recruiting targets suit up in this conference.
On the AAU circuit this spring and summer, Harmon has played well for the 17U squad of the Las Vegas-based Vegas Elite in Nike's EYBL league, which was 7-4 overall heading into this weekend's EYBL session in North Augusta, S.C.
He is averaging 16.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists per contest while hitting on 41.0 percent from the field, 26.8 percent from 3-point land and 67.9 percent from the free-throw line.
Syracuse basketball has many offers out to 2026 prospects.
The Orange staff, like many of its peers, is looking for its first verbal commitment among rising high school seniors. Not a lot of the top 2026 players have pledged to a college program, and for several reasons, experts say.
One is that with revenue-sharing upon us, the landscape in college sports has changed. There are also new regulations surrounding third-party name, image and likeness deals. What's more, with the transfer portal's explosion, college teams, including the 'Cuse, are focused more on portal recruiting than recruiting at the high school level.
Still, Syracuse basketball coaches have offered numerous 2026 prospects. Some recent offers have gone out to four-star small forward Maximo Adams, five-star point guard Dylan Mingo and four-star wing/power forward Quinn Costello.
It's tough to gauge where the Orange currently stands with Mingo and Costello, who is arguably the fastest-rising prospect in the 2026 cycle. One of Adams' AAU coaches recently told me that Maximo is working to set up an official visit to Syracuse basketball, likely this fall.
So who are the top 2026 targets for the 'Cuse staff these days? If I had to venture a guess, I'd say five-star point guard Deron Rippey Jr., five-star shooting guard Jordan Smith Jr., four-star wing/small forward Vaughn Karvala and possibly five-star wing Qayden Samuels.
