Five-star point guard Nasir Anderson from Savannah, Ga., one of three priority recruits for Syracuse basketball in the 2027 class, will visit the Orange later this month, Inside the Loud House has learned.
The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Anderson, a top-10 national prospect in the high school senior cycle, will take an official visit to the 'Cuse at some point during the weekend of Thursday, Sept. 17, to Sunday, Sept. 20.
Eric Bossi, the national basketball director at 247Sports, first reported that Anderson will officially visit Syracuse on September 19. A source tells Inside the Loud House that Anderson's visit to SU will occur between September 17 and September 20, but some specifics are still being ironed out.
Naturally, this is encouraging news for the Orange's chances to ultimately prevail for Anderson, an elite floor general out of Prolific Prep in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Recently, Anderson dropped a top 10 of the 'Cuse, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, Providence, Tennessee, UConn and Virginia.

The Orange, led by first-year head coach Gerry McNamara, offered Anderson this past April. He holds more than 30 scholarship offers in total. Per 247Sports, other upcoming official visits for Anderson include Providence, Virginia, Southern California, Kentucky, Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina.
Anderson is not expected to sign with a college program during the early period this November, but rather, in the regular period next April. This is a good thing for the 'Cuse coaching staff, as McNamara and his assistants have a chance to show Anderson that they're (hopefully) turning Syracuse basketball around.
High school prospects recognize the stellar job that McNamara did turning Siena around over the past two seasons, and prep recruits appreciate the culture that the new Orange staff is building on the Hill. However, there will be financial considerations, and SU also needs to have a winning team on the court in the upcoming 2026-27 campaign.
At this juncture, Syracuse basketball has three priority targets in 2027. They are Anderson, five-star wing/forward Ahmed Nur of CIA Bella Vista in Phoenix and five-star wing/small forward Moussa Kamissoko of the Spire Academy in Geneva, Ohio.
Nur recently took an official visit to the Orange that went quite well, a source confirms. Kamissoko officially visits the 'Cuse later this week from September 3 to September 4, Inside the Loud House has reported.
Syracuse basketball coaches have one verbal pledge so far in 2027 from three-star wing and Albany, N.Y., product Jack Donohue out of The Newman School in Boston, who unofficially visited the 'Cuse in late June, Inside the Loud House first reported.
