Four-star Malik Washington, a top-250 national prospect and a top-20 quarterback in the 2025 class who stars for a Maryland high school, plans to officially visit Syracuse football in June.
According to his bio on the 247Sports Web site, the 6-foot-5, 200-pound Washington is scheduled to take an official visit to the Orange during the weekend that begins June 7.
This is awesome news, as Washington is an elite prospect in the high school junior class. He went on an unofficial visit to the Hill this past January during one of the team’s junior days. In recent weeks, some national analysts had commented that Washington was mulling an upcoming official visit to Syracuse football.
Others planning to officially visit the ‘Cuse during the weekend of June 7 include 2025 three-star wide receiver Jalil Hall of the Monsignor Bonner & Archbishop Prendergast Catholic High School in Drexel Hill, Pa.
The following weekend, at least four 2025 four-star targets are slated to make official visits to the Orange, and they are running back Antwan Raymond of Clearwater Academy International in Clearwater, Fla., athlete/wide receiver Jeff Exinor Jr. of the McDonogh School in Owings Mills, Md., running back Kentrell Rinehart of Westland High School in Galloway, Ohio, and cornerback/athlete Dawayne Galloway Jr. of Marion-Franklin High School in Columbus, Ohio.
Syracuse football has scored an official visit from 2025 4-star QB Malik Washington.
Washington, a football and a basketball standout at the Archbishop Spalding High School in Severn, Md., named a top six in early January of this year that included the ‘Cuse, Virginia Tech, Texas A&M, Penn State, Oregon and Maryland.
He was re-offered a scholarship by the new Syracuse football staff in mid-December of 2023.
When I wrote this article, multiple recruiting services ranked Washington in the top 250 overall, the top 20 at quarterback and the top five in Maryland within his class.
Rivals.com currently is the most bullish on him, placing Washington at No. 178 nationwide, No. 14 at quarterback and No. 4 in Maryland.
To date, the Orange has landed verbal commitments from at least 12 high school juniors, including four-star quarterback Luke Carney from the Dallas area.
At the time of this writing, this ‘Cuse 2025 class arrived at No. 10 around the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite.
