The visitor list for Syracuse football coaches this spring and into the summer keeps on growing.

Candidly, it’s tough to fully keep up, and that goes to show you just how wonderful of a job the Orange coaching staff is doing on the recruiting trail.

Now, naturally, getting high-quality targets to visit the Hill and having them commit to the ‘Cuse are two different stories. But still, the sheer amount of four-star and three-star prospects scheduled to make trips to the SU campus in the coming weeks and months is impressive.

In this piece, I’ll focus on a 2025 three-star lineman who is visiting this weekend, a 2026 four-star running back who will visit next month, and a 2025 four-star quarterback who has already taken an unofficial visit to the Orange and is mulling a possible official visit to the program.

Syracuse football coaches continue to line up visits with highly rated prospects.

In early March, 2025 three-star offensive lineman Gavin Crawford disclosed a top five on his X page that includes the ‘Cuse, Duke, Florida, West Virginia and Maryland.

The 6-foot-3, 310-pound Crawford, a standout at Good Counsel High School in Olney, Md., says via X that he will visit Syracuse football this weekend. On January 29 of this year, Crawford said on X that he had received a scholarship offer from the ‘Cuse coaching staff.

This brings us to 2026 four-star running back Javian Mallory. The 6-foot, 200-pound Mallory, a star for West Boca Raton Community High School in Boca Raton, Fla., will visit the Orange on April 12, according to Charleston Bowles of Rivals.com.

The new Syracuse football staff, led by head coach Fran Brown, re-offered a scholarship to Mallory on February 16 of this year.

As a sophomore, Mallory rushed for 1,415 yards and scored 18 touchdowns on the ground, while also hauling in 438 yards and six more scores as a receiver.

Mallory, who was named to the MaxPreps 2022 freshman All-America second squad, is rated as a top-200 national prospect and a top-20 running back in the 2026 cycle, per several recruiting Web sites.

In early January, 2025 four-star quarterback Malik Washington named a top six of Syracuse football, Virginia Tech, Texas A&M, Penn State, Oregon and Maryland.

The 6-foot-5, 200-pound Washington, who won a bunch of awards and honors for his junior season at state champion Archbishop Spalding High School in Severn, Md., was re-offered by the ‘Cuse in mid-December of 2023.

Washington took an unofficial visit to the Hill this past January during one of the team’s junior days. In a recent post on X, Rivals.com national analyst Adam Friedman noted that Washington is considering an official visit to the Orange in the future.

Multiple recruiting services, within the 2025 cycle, rate Washington as a top-250 national prospect and a top-20 quarterback.

Syracuse football coaches secured a strong 2024 recruiting class made up of high school seniors and college transfers, several of whom are four-star players.

Last weekend, the Orange picked up two verbal commitments for its 2025 cycle, and the team now has three verbal pledges among high school juniors.

The ‘Cuse coaching staff is still on the lookout for a first verbal commitment in the 2026 class, although most high school sophomores have a way to go in their respective recruiting processes.
