Caleb Ourigou, one of the top centers in the 2027 class who hails from New York, has been re-offered by the new Syracuse basketball staff, he said on X earlier this week.
Congrats to Caleb! The 6-foot-10, 215-pound Ourigou, who is from Queens, N.Y., was offered a scholarship by the former Orange coaching staff about a year ago. He was one of at least 15 prospects in the 2027 cycle who was offered by then-head coach Adrian Autry and his assistants.
It's likely that new head coach Gerry McNamara and his staff will re-offer some of those former 2027 recruits, beyond Ourigou, and also former SU targets in the 2028 and 2029 classes.

Ourigou, in the 2025-26 season, played for the Atlanta-based league Overtime Elite ("OTE"). On the AAU circuit, this spring and summer, he is running with the 17U team of the New York City-based Renaissance Hoops in Nike's EYBL league.
Beyond the 'Cuse, per recruiting services, Ourigou's full scholarship offer sheet includes schools such as Florida, Florida State, Illinois, Maryland, Miami, UCLA, West Virginia, Temple, Seton Hall and St. John's.
Syracuse basketball has re-offered 2027 4-star big Caleb Ourigou.
This past season, in Overtime Elite, Ourigou played for the Cold Hearts alongside 2027 four-star point guard Anderson Diaz, who was offered by the former SU staff last July and also competes for the Renaissance Hoops.
In 2025-26, the Cold Hearts reached the championship round of the Overtime Elite playoffs. During the OTE regular season, Ourigou averaged 17.2 minutes, 6.2 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game while making 57.3 percent from the field and 44.0 percent from the free-throw line.

In late April, the EYBL held its first spring session near Atlanta, in Cartersville, Ga. The Renaissance Hoops went 3-0. Both Diaz and Ourigou earned high marks from national analysts and scouts for their performances in Cartersville.
