Syracuse basketball has one verbal pledge in its 2027 class and is prioritizing a half-dozen other prospects in the high school senior cycle, Inside the Loud House has reported.

Earlier this month, the Orange got on the board in 2027 with a verbal commitment from three-star wing Jack Donohue, who hails from Albany, N.Y., and is heading into his senior year at The Newman School in Boston.

SU's priority targets in 2027 include five-star point guard Nasir Anderson, four-star point guard J'Lon Lyons, five-star wing/forward Ahmed Nur, four-star wing/forward Ian Condon, five-star wing/forward Moussa Kamissoko and four-star guard Devin Cleveland.

Lyons, Nur and Condon have set upcoming official visits to the Hill. The Orange staff is working to get Anderson, Kamissoko and Cleveland up to Central New York for visits as well.

A national scout weighs in on Syracuse basketball's 2027 priority recruits.

On Wednesday, Inside the Loud House caught up by phone with Philip Kirsch, a basketball analyst at media outlet Pro Insight, to discuss these Orange targets. Kirsch provided thoughts on five of them; he hasn't watched Condon yet.

Nasir Anderson
6-foot-4, 200-pound point guard out of Prolific Prep in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Philip Kirsch's take: Physical, hard-nosed guard "built like a Mack truck." Strong frame, sets the tone for his team, tough to defend when he's in the open court and out in transition. Athletic. His biggest area for improvement is his shooting. "He's kind of like (NBA superstar) Ant Edwards. He walks into a room and thinks he's better than everyone else." A top three or four guard in the 2027 class.

J'Lon Lyons
6-foot-3, 174-pound point guard out of the Clinton Grace Christian School in Clinton, Md.
Philip Kirsch's take: "I really like him." A little small in terms of his weight. "Such a quick change-of-speed guy." Great feel for the game. Can get his own baskets and has been a stock-riser in the 2027 class over the last few months. Competitive, impacts the game in different ways and defends well on and off the ball. "Smooth, athletic guard. ... Syracuse would be an intriguing fit for him."

Moussa Kamissoko
6-foot-8, 180-pound wing/forward out of Long Island Lutheran High School in Brookville, N.Y.
Philip Kirsch's take: A super long, fluid athlete whose "skill set doesn't always click." He is becoming more of that actual player who we all thought he would be as opposed to a theoretical prospect.

Ahmed Nur
6-foot-9, 190-pound wing/forward out of CIA Bella Vista in Phoenix
Philip Kirsch's take: "Really intriguing tools." Agile. Has good size and outstanding length for a prospect who plays the 3/4. "There are times when his motor is better than others." Solid handle, a terrific shooter and doesn't get enough credit for his defense. Like Kamissoko, Nur is "trying to put it all together."

Devin Cleveland
6-foot-3, 175-pound guard out of the La Lumiere School in La Porte, Ind.
Philip Kirsch's take: Crafty and creates his own shots. "Outstanding shooter." Good in transition and a "dynamic offensive player." Score-first guard. "I wonder how much he will physically mature."

Ian Condon
6-foot-7, 245-pound wing/forward out of the Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C.
While Kirsch hasn't watched Condon play, Rivals senior national analyst Jamie Shaw noted on Wednesday that Condon's stock has soared in recent months, and he's poised for a rankings jump. Last month, Adam Finkelstein, the director of scouting at 247Sports and CBS Sports, published an evaluation of Condon. Inside the Loud House also wrote a story on him in recent days.
