A top national analyst has logged a prediction for a 2027 four-star center who holds a Syracuse basketball scholarship offer.
Jamie Shaw, the senior national recruiting analyst at Rivals, is projecting that Arkansas will land 2027 four-star big man Caleb Ourigou, assigning a 60 percent confidence rating to his pick.
Ourigou, as I've reported in the past, is a potential candidate to re-class into the 2026 cycle. If he does, and he joins the John Calipari-led Razorbacks, the 6-foot-10, 215-pound Ourigou would join an Arkansas roster that also includes 2026 five-star shooting guard Jordan Smith Jr. from the DMV, who was a long-time priority target for the former SU staff under then-head coach Adrian Autry.
Ourigou, who is from Queens, N.Y., was re-offered a scholarship by the new Orange staff under first-year head coach Gerry McNamara this past May. Within the 2027 class, Ourigou is a top-60 national prospect and a top-10 center.
4⭐️ Caleb Ourigou has recently completed visits to Kentucky and UConn and is set to visit BYU and Arkansas in the coming days, he told @Rivals.

Recently, he has taken visits to Arkansas, BYU, Connecticut and Kentucky. If he does re-class, the 'Cuse wouldn't be a likely destination, since SU's 15-man roster is already complete.
The new Syracuse basketball staff has offered numerous 2027 prospects of late.
In the 2025-26 season, Ourigou competed for the Atlanta-based league Overtime Elite ("OTE"). This spring and summer on Nike's EYBL circuit, he is playing for the 17U team of the New York City-based Renaissance Hoops.
For the NY Rens, Ourigou is averaging 12.3 points, 8.6 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game while connecting on 63.7 percent from the field. One of his NY Rens teammates in the 17U division is 2028 four-star small forward Will Brunson out of the Rutgers Preparatory School in Somerset, N.J. The new Orange staff also recently re-offered Brunson.
Other recruiting targets for McNamara and his assistants in the 2027 class include four-star shooting guard RJ Moore, five-star point guard Nasir Anderson, five-star center Lewis Uvwo, five-star point guard King Gibson, four-star point guard J'Lon Lyons, five-star wing/small forward Moussa Kamissoko, four-star power forward Ian Condon, four-star big man Ahmed Nur and wing Jack Donohue, among others.
