Sunshine State product Tai Bell, one of the top point guards in the 2028 class, took an unofficial visit to Syracuse basketball this past March when Adrian Autry was still leading the Orange program.
The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Bell was re-offered a scholarship by SU first-year head coach Gerry McNamara and his staff last month. Inside the Loud House is told that the five-star Bell is highly interested in visiting the 'Cuse for a second time.
According to a recent post on X from Rivals senior national recruiting analyst Jamie Shaw, other suitors that Bell is interested in visiting include Florida, Florida State, Houston, national champs Michigan, Ohio State and Texas. At this juncture, Bell doesn't have any visits scheduled.

As Inside the Loud House detailed over the weekend, Bell is one of more than a dozen 2028 players who have picked up a scholarship offer from the new 'Cuse coaching staff. Four-star power forward Damian Mojica of The Masters School in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., took an unofficial visit to the Hill earlier this summer, as first reported by Inside the Loud House. Mojica holds an Orange offer.
Kingsley Rogers, a fast-rising guard/wing out of the Williston Northampton School in Easthampton, Mass., is also eyeing a visit to the Orange at some point, I've learned. Rogers is garnering interest from the SU staff.
Syracuse basketball 2028 5-star target Tai Bell may visit the 'Cuse a second time.
Bell was previously a standout at the Mater Lakes Academy in Hialeah, Fla. For his junior season in the upcoming 2026-27 campaign, he has transferred to Miami powerhouse Christopher Columbus High School. Two seasons ago, in 2024-25, the Explorers won the high school national title.
Inside the Loud House also reported last Friday that Bell, in 2026-27, will suit up in the Atlanta-based league Overtime Elite ("OTE"). He will play for the Cold Hearts, a team whose roster also includes other members of the Columbus roster, such as 2029 five-star power forward Cayden Gaskins.
Ethan Butler, a freshman guard for Syracuse basketball, played for the OTE's Diamond Doves in 2025-26, where one of his teammates was 2028 four-star combo guard Ka'Shawn Gill, who received an offer from SU coaches last month.
Bell, the No. 26 national prospect and the No. 4 point guard in the 2028 class, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite, is the son of former NBA shooting guard and defensive guru Raja Bell.
At this juncture in his recruitment, Tai Bell's full scholarship offer sheet includes schools like VCU, Baylor, Arizona State, Florida State, Auburn, Houston, Kansas State, Missouri, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Pittsburgh, Purdue, TCU, Texas, Texas A&M, Virginia, Washington, Villanova, Creighton and South Florida, among others.
