Last Friday, 2027 five-star wing/small forward Moussa Kamissoko verbally committed to Syracuse basketball. The Bronx, N.Y., native will play as a senior at the powerhouse Spire Academy in Geneva, Ohio.
One of his teammates in the upcoming 2026-27 season is 2027 five-star guard King Gibson, who was offered a scholarship by first-year head coach Gerry McNamara and the 'Cuse staff this past spring. In late August, the 6-foot-6, 185-pound Gibson, who hails from Greensboro, N.C., dropped a top 10 that included the Orange, although sources have told Inside the Loud House that SU coaches haven't been aggressively pursuing Gibson of late.
This week, Gibson further trimmed his list down to four suitors, according to reports. His top four consist of Arkansas, Louisville, LSU and Providence. Gibson, who played this spring and summer for the 17U squad of the Charlotte, N.C.-based Team United in Nike's EYBL league, might be close to making a college decision, and it seems that LSU may have some buzz for the top-15 national player.
A high school prospect with a Syracuse basketball offer is off the board.
Ian Condon, a 2027 four-star power forward from the DMV, . picked up a scholarship offer from the new Orange staff last May. He was eyeing an official visit to the 'Cuse in early September, but as Inside the Loud House first reported, that visit didn't end up happening, with both SU and Condon electing to move in different directions.
Update: Ian Condon, the 2027 four-star wing/forward from the DMV who was scheduled to officially visit Syracuse basketball from September 1 to September 2, is no longer visiting the Orange this week, two sources confirm to Inside the Loud House.

On Tuesday, the 6-foot-7, 245-pound Condon verbally committed to Florida out of the Southeastern Conference. Ian is a great young man, and I'm wishing him well with the Gators, a program that won the national championship in 2025.
Condon is a standout senior at the Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C. In the latest EYBL season, he suited up for the 17U squad of the Baltimore-based Team Melo.

To date, Syracuse basketball has two verbal commits in its 2027 class from Kamissoko and Albany, N.Y., native Jack Donohue, a three-star wing out of The Newman School in Boston. It's possible that the Orange's 2027 cycle at the high school level ends up with two members, although Inside the Loud House has reported that the SU staff remains in contact with four-star wing/forward Ahmed Nur of CIA Bella Vista in Phoenix, who took an official visit to Syracuse basketball in late August.
