Darius Wiley, one of the highest-ranked players in the 2026 class at the junior-college level, will visit Syracuse football later this month.

Allen Trieu, an analyst at 247Sports, says on X that the 6-foot-7, 250-pound Wiley, a defensive end/edge rusher, will take an official visit to the Orange "later this month." The X post didn't specify the date of this trip; however, I have to imagine it will be during the weekend of the team's 2025 regular-season finale at home against Boston College on November 29.

Wiley is a standout at JUCO powerhouse Hutchinson Community College in Hutchinson, Kan. His teammate, three-star defensive lineman Jeffrey Manns II, is planning to officially visit Syracuse football for the Boston College game, according to Trieu.

Hutchinson is 9-0 and ranked No. 1 nationally in the most recent National Junior College Athletic Association ("NJCAA") football rankings. On Saturday, Nov. 22, the Blue Dragons will host Garden City Community College from Garden City, Kan. In 2024, Hutchinson went 11-1 overall and won the 2024 NJCAA national title.

Talented edge rusher Darius Wiley will visit Syracuse football later this month.

So far in the 2025 season, as a redshirt freshman, Wiley has tallied 24 solo tackles, 47 total tackles, 7.5 sacks, 15.5 tackles for a loss, one forced fumble and one pass breakup.

At the prep level, Wiley was a three-star prospect in the 2024 class and attended North Hardin High School in Radcliff, Ky. In 247Sports' JUCO rankings for the 2026 class, he is three stars, No. 24 overall and No. 4 at edge.

When I wrote this article on Thursday, the industry-generated 247Sports Composite's JUCO rankings for the 2026 cycle placed Wiley as three stars, No. 40 nationally and No. 5 at edge.

The Orange coaching staff is eyeing numerous visitors for the team's regular-season finale against the Eagles at the JMA Wireless Dome. Another expected visitor is 2027 four-star wide receiver Javien Robinson of McKeesport Area Senior High School in McKeesport, Pa. At the end of October, the 6-foot-2, 190-pound Robinson dropped a top eight that included Syracuse football.

The early signing period for 2026 football prospects will run from December 3 to December 5. To date, the 'Cuse has 30 verbal pledges in a 2026 class that ranks No. 25 around the country, according to the 247Sports Composite.
