Syracuse women's basketball on Wednesday announced that it has scored a commitment from transfer forward Jaleesa Molina, who is a junior at American Conference school Temple.
A huge congrats to Molina, who has played three seasons for the Owls and is expected to have one year of college eligibility left. The 6-foot-3 Molina hails from The Hague, Netherlands.
This past season, Temple went 15-17 overall. As a junior during the 2025-26 campaign, Molina averaged 29.2 minutes, 9.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.7 steals per game, but also 3.2 turnovers, while connecting on 49.0 percent from the field, 29.4 percent from beyond the arc and 71.8 percent from the free-throw line.

In her sophomore stint, Molina averaged 7.5 points and 7.0 boards per contest while making 52.5 percent from the field as a whole.
Syracuse basketball has added another piece to its 2026-27 roster.
In a news release, Orange head coach Felisha Legette-Jack praised Molina for her "endless" versatility - "she runs the floor exceptionally well, can knock down the three and gets to the nail for the pull-up jumper. More exciting than her basketball ability is her character, which is exemplary."
According to SU Athletics, before joining Temple at the college level, Molina represented the Netherlands in numerous international events. Syracuse women's basketball has landed three college transfers so far this offseason. They are Molina, SMU graduate student guard Tyi Skinner and Oregon junior forward Sarah Rambus.
Following a separate pledge earlier this week, the Orange's 2026 high school class now includes two members. They are forward Destiny Robinson of St. Mary's College Preparatory High School in Manhasset, N.Y., who committed to Syracuse women's basketball this past Monday, and guard Madison Howard of Monsignor Scanlan High School in the Bronx, N.Y.
Among SU's players from last season who are expected to return in the upcoming 2026-27 campaign are freshman center Uche Izoje, the ACC's rookie of the year in 2025-26, and sophomore wing Shy Hawkins.
In 2025-26, despite many so-called experts not being all that bullish on the Orange, Syracuse women's basketball sported a 24-9 overall mark and advanced to the second round of this spring's NCAA Tournament.
