Syracuse women's basketball has added transfer guard Tyi Skinner.
Skinner has had to contend with several injuries during her college career. She's a solid 3-point shooter, connecting on at least 34 percent from deep in three different seasons. In 2024-25, Skinner averaged 16.8 points per game.
In 2022-23, at Arizona State, she averaged 19.3 points per contest, and Skinner was named All-Pac 12 Conference honorable mention. A few days ago, SU Athletics announced that Oregon junior forward Sarah Rambus had transferred to Syracuse women's basketball.
The 6-foot-3 Rambus, who comes from Flint, Mich., averaged 14.2 minutes, 6.3 points and 2.4 rebounds per contest this past season for Oregon, while making 53.7 percent from the field.
The transfer portal in women's collegiate hoops closed on April 20. At least seven 'Cuse players from 2025-26 said they would enter the portal, although sophomore wing Shy Hawkins has since said that she will come back to the Hill in 2026-27.
Also returning to SU next season is freshman center Uche Izoje, the ACC's rookie of the year in 2025-26. The Orange brings on board incoming freshman Madison Howard, a guard out of Monsignor Scanlan High School in the Bronx, N.Y.
Head coach Felisha Legette-Jack, her staff and their talented roster had a wonderful 2025-26 stanza, going 24-9 overall and advancing to the NCAA Tournament's second round.
