Amid a recruiting period that is about to end, Syracuse football coaches have been out and about across the country, paying visits to high school prospects who have verbally committed to the Orange as well as three-star and four-star targets.
That's according to numerous posts on X that I've come across in recent days. To be clear, this article isn't meant to be any sort of exhaustive list, but I did want to pass along some of these social media posts to give my fellow Syracuse football fans a sense of which high school players have received visits by Orange coaches of late.
In recent weeks, per this recruiting calendar, there has been a contact period where coaches can make in-person, off-campus visits, although a dead period will commence on February 3.
As far as I can tell, Syracuse football coaches, including head coach Fran Brown, have visited commits and recruiting targets at their high schools and, in some cases, at their homes.
Syracuse football coaches have paid visits to highly ranked prospects in recent weeks.
According to an X post on February 1, the Orange's Devin Redd, an assistant running backs coach, had an in-home visit with 2026 four-star athlete/defensive back Andre Clarke Jr. out of Hermitage High School in Henrico, Va. Clarke holds a scholarship offer from the 'Cuse and is No. 85 nationally in his class via ESPN.
Over the past week or so, Syracuse football offered a scholarship to, and also visited, Bralan Womack, who is a 2026 four-star defensive back/wide receiver and a top-25 national prospect out of the Hartfield Academy in Flowood, Miss.
Jaydin Broadnax, a four-star defensive back and a top-200 national prospect in the 2026 class who helped guide West Boca Raton Community High School in Boca Raton, Fla., to a state title this past term, has the Orange in his top seven.
Multiple recent media reports indicate that Broadnax could make a college decision soon. In recent days, he posted on X a photo of himself with Joe Schaefer, who is the defensive backs coach with the 'Cuse.
Also, in recent days, Schaefer conducted an in-home visit with 2026 four-star defensive back and top-80 national prospect CJ Hester with another 2024 state champion in Florida, Cocoa High School in Cocoa, Fla.
Not too long ago, Rivals.com national recruiting director Adam Gorney wrote that Syracuse football is one of the contenders to watch in Hester's recruitment.
Orange offensive line coach Dale Williams visited 2026 three-star offensive tackle Ben Congdon, who has a 'Cuse scholarship offer and is a standout at Tuscarawas Valley High School in Zoarville, Ohio.
Nunzio Campanile, the Orange's associate head coach for offense and quarterbacks coach, made an in-home visit to Gavin Sidwar, a four-star quarterback and a top-200 national prospect in the 2026 cycle. Sidwar, who stars for La Salle College High School in Wyndmoor, Pa., has visited the 'Cuse and had previously been verbally committed to Rutgers.
Recently, Brown and other Orange coaches have visited 2026 verbal commits, including three-star athlete/linebacker Maurice Medley of the Saint Frances Academy in Baltimore, three-star athlete/defensive back Jaxson Gates of Damien High School in La Verne, Calif., and three-star wide receiver BJ Garrett of Middletown High School in Middletown, Del.
