Syracuse football was 2028 offensive lineman Alvin Holland's second Division I scholarship offer, which came in May 2025.
These days, the Orange is among those teams standing out to the 6-foot-4, 267-pound Holland, an offensive tackle/interior offensive lineman from Virginia who holds nearly 15 scholarship offers, according to recruiting services.

He's locked in upcoming game-day visits to most of those schools mentioned above, as first reported by 247Sports and confirmed by Inside the Loud House. Holland will visit Syracuse football on Saturday, Nov. 7, when the Orange hosts Clemson at the JMA Wireless Dome.
Syracuse football will welcome 2028 offensive lineman Alvin Holland to the Hill later this year.
Holland, who attends King's Fork High School in Suffolk, Va., is one of numerous high school prospects across different classes who are planning to go on game-day visits to the Orange this fall as the 2026 season gets underway.

King's Fork had an excellent 2025 campaign, going 11-2 overall and reaching the Virginia High School League ("VHSL") Class 5 Region B title game.
According to 247Sports, Holland's full scholarship offer sheet includes schools such as Duke, Georgia Tech, Penn State, Pittsburgh, South Carolina, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Marshall, Temple, Buffalo, Old Dominion and UConn.

His other game-day visits this fall include:
•Virginia on August 29
•Virginia Tech on September 5
•Georgia Tech on September 12
•North Carolina on October 3 (currently, Holland doesn't hold an offer from the Tar Heels)
•Penn State on October 10
SU head coach Fran Brown and his staff are heavily involved with various three-star and four-star targets in the 2028 class. These players are heading into their junior seasons of high school.
To date, the Orange's sole 2028 verbal pledge is four-star offensive tackle Omari Lawson, a top-125 national prospect out of the Zarephath Academy in Jacksonville, Fla. The 6-foot-6, 275-pound Lawson will make game-day visits to Syracuse football on September 5 against New Hampshire, October 17 against Louisville and November 7 against Clemson, Inside the Loud House reported earlier this month.
