Syracuse football's highest-ranked verbal pledge in its 2027 class will be on the Hill twice this fall for game-day visits.
Four-star running back Elijah Kimble from Buffalo, N.Y., who verbally committed to the Orange earlier this summer, plans to take game-day visits to the JMA Wireless Dome when the 'Cuse plays California on Saturday, Sept. 12, and when Syracuse football hosts SMU on Saturday, Oct. 31, Inside the Loud House has learned.
Kimble verbally committed to the Orange in early July. He held nearly 40 scholarship offers throughout his recruitment, and Kimble took official visits to Syracuse football, fellow Atlantic Coast Conference school North Carolina and Indiana, which won last season's College Football Playoff national championship.
This fall, the 5-foot-10, 185-pound Kimble does not plan to visit any other college teams, Inside the Loud House is told. He is heading into his senior year at Canisius High School, where Kimble has put forth a historic career to date.
Within the 2027 class, ESPN places Kimble at No. 261 overall, No. 21 at running back and No. 1 in New York. The industry-generated Rivals Industry Ranking has him at No. 343 nationally, No. 25 at running back and No. 2 in New York.
Over at the industry-generated 247Sports Composite, Kimble is No. 366 overall, No. 24 at his position and No. 2 in the Empire State. After landing two verbal pledges this weekend, the Orange's 2027 class now stands at 26 commitments.
Syracuse football coaches are expected to have many visitors on campus this fall for game-day visits.
Also on Sunday, Inside the Loud House reported that Orange 2028 pledge Omari Lawson, a four-star offensive tackle from the Sunshine State, will take three game-day visits to the 'Cuse during the upcoming 2026 season.
The 6-foot-6, 275-pound Lawson, out of the Zarephath Academy in Jacksonville, Fla., will also visit Florida State on August 29 and Florida on September 26, as first reported by 247Sports and confirmed by Inside the Loud House.
Philadelphia-area product and SU recruiting target Ty Winn, a four-star offensive tackle and a top-125 national prospect in the 2028 class, will also visit Syracuse football for the SMU game on Halloween. The Orange is one of the top schools for the 6-foot-8, 278-pound Winn, who attends Monsignor Bonner & Archbishop Prendergast Catholic High School in Drexel Hill, Pa.
