The Syracuse basketball staff is at the juggernaut Prolific Prep on Thursday at an open gym to watch several five-star prospects, one of whom is a 2027 priority recruit for the Orange.
The 'Cuse is in for 2027 five-star point guard Nasir Anderson, 2028 five-star point guard Michai White and 2028 five-star center Bamba Touray.
National analyst/scout Jamie Shaw of Rivals first reported this development, and Inside the Loud House confirmed the news with Prolific Prep's head coach, Ryan Bernardi, via text message on Thursday morning.

On September 9, the fall recruiting period commenced, with college coaches hitting the road to check out recruiting targets at their high schools' open gyms. College coaches can also conduct in-home visits with prospects.
Syracuse basketball is at the powerhouse Prolific Prep on Thursday.
The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Anderson is one of three priority recruits for SU in the 2027 class, along with five-star wing/forward Ahmed Nur of CIA Bella Vista in Phoenix and five-star wing/small forward Moussa Kamissoko of the Spire Academy in Geneva, Ohio.
Anderson, who hails from Savannah, Ga., recently dropped a top 10 that includes the 'Cuse. He also plans to take an official visit to Syracuse basketball later this month, Inside the Loud House has reported.
The 6-foot-2, 175-pound White, from Hackensack, N.J., took an unofficial visit to the Orange in late August 2025 to play in the team's Elite Camp. Once the 2028 contact period opened on June 15, White heard from the Syracuse basketball staff.
After playing last season for the Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, N.H., word broke in early July that White would transfer to Prolific Prep, which went 38-4 overall in the 2025-26 campaign and earned an invite to the season-ending Chipotle Nationals.
Numerous high school hoops experts have told Inside the Loud House that they believe Prolific Prep is among those programs that are significant contenders to win a national championship in the upcoming 2026-27 season.
It wouldn't surprise me at all if White picks up an offer from the Orange soon. In the latest AAU season, he fared quite well while playing up a division for the 17U team of the Albany, N.Y.-based City Rocks in Nike's EYBL league.
White averaged 18.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.3 steals per game while making 44.1 percent from the field, 28.6 percent from beyond the arc and 72.4 percent from the free-throw line.
This brings us to the 7-foot, 210-pound Touray, who is a top-five national prospect in his class, per all the primary recruiting services. He's also deemed the No. 1 center in the 2028 cycle, according to the industry-generated Rivals Industry Ranking.
In late June, Touray, who is originally from Senegal, transferred to Prolific Prep from another elite high school program, the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. Inside the Loud House will monitor whether the Orange staff ends up offering a scholarship to Touray.
