Syracuse basketball will host a pair of Blue Devils programs in the upcoming 2026-27 campaign, the first season under new head coach Gerry McNamara.

On Tuesday afternoon, SU Athletics announced that the Orange will welcome Central Connecticut State to the JMA Wireless Dome on Thursday, Nov. 5. The tip-off time and television information have yet to be disclosed.

Central Connecticut State, which is located in New Britain, Conn., is a member of the Northeast Conference ("NEC"). The team is known as the Blue Devils, meaning that the 'Cuse will host two schools with that mascot in 2026-27.

In SU's Atlantic Coast Conference docket, the Duke Blue Devils, which advanced to the Elite Eight of the 2026 NCAA Tournament, will also travel to the Hill for a league encounter.

This past season, the Orange went 15-17 overall. Central Connecticut State, meanwhile, went 18-12 overall and 12-6 in NEC competition. The Blue Devils' head coach is Patrick Sellers, who has served in that role since May 14, 2021.

In their all-time series together, Syracuse basketball and Central Connecticut State have met only once before. On December 31, 2012, the Orange beat the Blue Devils at the Dome, 96-62.

Here's the latest with Syracuse basketball's non-conference calendar.

In the 2026-27 season, the 'Cuse is expected to have 14 non-conference games and 18 ACC affairs. Per official announcements and media reports, here is the Orange's non-conference schedule to date:
•Syracuse basketball against Central Connecticut State at the Dome on Thursday, Nov. 5.
•Syracuse basketball against Indiana at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Monday, Nov. 9
•Syracuse basketball against Lafayette at the Dome on Saturday, Nov. 21
•Syracuse basketball at Oklahoma on Tuesday, Dec. 1, as part of the annual ACC/SEC Challenge
•Syracuse basketball against Providence at the TD Garden in Boston on Saturday, Dec. 19
•Syracuse basketball against St. John's at Madison Square Garden in New York City (date TBD)
•Syracuse basketball against Rutgers at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. (date TBD)
•Syracuse basketball against Albany at the Dome (date TBD)

Reports have indicated that the Orange may potentially host Central New York neighbors Colgate and Cornell at the Dome, too. If that happens, then 10 of SU's 14 non-conference foes would be known, with four contests left.
