Syracuse men's basketball has an exciting 18-game slate in the Atlantic Coast Conference in the upcoming 2026-27 campaign, when first-year head coach Gerry McNamara and his staff will attempt to get the Orange back to the annual NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2021.
Per releases from both SU Athletics and the ACC on Thursday, SU's home docket is highlighted by JMA Wireless Dome encounters with some of the league's top teams, such as Duke, Virginia, Louisville and North Carolina, whose new head coach is Michael Malone, who previously led the NBA's Denver Nuggets to a world championship a few years ago.

The 'Cuse will play long-time rival Pittsburgh both home and away, and the same goes for Stanford, meaning that Syracuse basketball will be making a trip to the West Coast.
The Orange's home-only opponents are:
Boston College
Duke
Georgia Tech
Louisville
North Carolina
Virginia
Wake Forest
Syracuse basketball's away-only foes are:
California
Clemson
Florida State
Miami
Notre Dame
SMU
Virginia Tech
Syracuse basketball's home ACC docket is enticing.
In the 2026 NCAA Tournament, ACC members Clemson, Duke, Louisville, Miami, North Carolina, N.C. State, SMU and Virginia earned invites. Syracuse basketball will play seven of those teams, with the Wolfpack not on SU's calendar for 2026-27.
Pittsburgh's 2026-27 roster includes former Orange point guard Naithan George, a rising senior, and former 'Cuse big man Akir Souare, a rising redshirt junior. SU's tilt on the Hill with Duke should be legendary, as McNamara's former squad, No. 16 seed Siena, nearly knocked off the No. 1 seed Blue Devils in the 2026 Big Dance's first round.
Additionally, Duke's roster for the upcoming term includes 2026 five-star point guard and top-15 national prospect Deron Rippey Jr. from Brooklyn, N.Y., a long-time Syracuse basketball recruit who had officially visited the Orange.
In super early preseason rankings ahead of 2026-27, CBS Sports includes Duke, Virginia, Louisville, Miami and North Carolina. Over at ESPN, preseason top-25 groups are Duke, Louisville, Virginia and Miami. The latest ESPN bracketology from Joe Lunardi features eight ACC members, and they are No. 1 seed Duke, No. 3 seed Louisville, No. 3 seed Virginia, No. 7 seed Miami, No. 9 seed N.C. State, No. 9 seed North Carolina, No. 11 seed Clemson and No. 12 seed Stanford.
According to the ACC and Syracuse Athletics, the full 18-game league schedule, including dates, tip-off times and television information, will be revealed in September.
