Syracuse basketball coaches have extended a scholarship offer to 2028 four-star combo guard Ka'Shawn Gill from Flint, Mich., who had been hearing from the Orange since the contact period opened for his class on June 15.
The 6-foot-6 Gill noted the 'Cuse offer via his Instagram page. Other college programs that have reached out to Gill since mid-June include Iowa State, Michigan State, Creighton, Bowling Green, Rutgers and Penn State.
His full scholarship offer sheet features squads such as Creighton, West Virginia, Nevada, Arizona State, the University of Detroit, Central Michigan, UC Santa Barbara and Eastern Michigan.
Since June 15, as Inside the Loud House has reported on various occasions, the new Syracuse basketball staff under first-year head coach Gerry McNamara has been in touch with a wide range of 2028 prospects, with numerous offers also doled out to four-star and five-star players in this cycle, including Gill.

Gill was a star at the International Academy of Flint in Michigan. This past season, in 2025-26, he played for the Phoenix-based PHH Prep, which operates as the Diamond Doves in the Atlanta-based league Overtime Elite. For the Diamond Doves, Gill suited up with 2026 guard Ethan Butler from New York City, who committed to the 'Cuse last month.
Within the 2028 class, the industry-generated 247Sports Composite places Gill at No. 100 overall, No. 14 at combo guard and No. 6 in Arizona.
This spring and summer in grassroots basketball, Gill is playing for the Milwaukee-based Power 5 in the Adidas 3SSB league. Last weekend, amid a live period, the Adidas 3SSB circuit held a session in Bryan, Texas, and the Orange staff was on hand. It would not be a surprise if 'Cuse coaches were watching Gill, given that he disclosed his SU offer on Sunday.

Gill played well at this session in Texas. Several scouts named him a top performer for his performances this past weekend (in two of his games, Gill scored 18 points and 22 points, respectively).
In the current AAU season as a whole, he is averaging 12.5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists per contest. Gill is also making 2.4 shots from beyond the arc per game.
