In late October, the Syracuse basketball staff offered a scholarship to Canadian product Miles Sadler, and it wouldn't surprise me if he took a visit to the Hill at some point.
Nothing has been scheduled, as far as I can tell, but the 5-foot-11 Sadler has spoken positively about the Orange in some recent interviews since picking up a 'Cuse offer. Plus, Syracuse basketball over the years has fared well recruiting prospects from Canada.
Sadler, a four-star point guard and a top-30 national prospect in the 2026 class, hails from Brampton, Ontario, although he is currently playing high school basketball in the United States. He is a junior at CIA Bella Vista in Phoenix, which is a member of the country's premier conference, the 14-squad Nike Elite Youth Basketball League Scholastic ("EYBL Scholastic").
As I noted in another recent column, in the early stages of the 2024-25 season, Sadler has earned praise from analysts and scouts for some of his performances against elite competition.
Syracuse basketball recently offered 2026 4-star point guard Miles Sadler.
To date, Sadler has taken one official visit, to Big 12 Conference member Arizona State. Jamie Shaw, a top national analyst/scout with On3, published an article this week about Sadler, in which the Orange target discussed his recruitment.
Jamie's story is a subscriber exclusive, so I won't be sharing details. However, he notes in a post on X that Sadler chatted about his official visit to Arizona State and also shared some thoughts on suitors such as Syracuse basketball, California and Mississippi State.
While Sadler's recruiting process could have a way to go, the top-five point guard in the 2026 cycle, per On3, does appear to have a solid interest in the 'Cuse, Cal and Mississippi State, among others. That's why I think he could end up visiting the Orange in the future.
Sadler's offer sheet, to date, includes teams such as Mississippi State, Iowa, California, Arizona State, Cal State Northridge, Weber State and Texas State.
In the latest top-25 team rankings in high school hoops from The Circuit, CIA Bella Vista arrived at No. 17 around the country. Syracuse basketball coaches, by the way, have also offered several of Sadler's teammates at CIA Bella Vista, such as 2027 five-star big man Paul Osaruyi, 2026 four-star guard Rokiem Green and 2026 four-star center Aliou Dioum.
So far, the Orange staff has offered scholarships to at least 15 prospects in the 2026 class, including several point guards and shooting guards who are rated either four stars or five stars.
