The 2024-25 season in high school hoops is just getting underway, although new Syracuse basketball recruit Miles Sadler is off to a fast start, earning high praise from national analysts and scouts.
The 5-foot-11 Sadler, who is from Brampton, Ontario, is a four-star point guard and top-30 national prospect in the 2026 class. Toward the end of October, Sadler said via his X page that he picked up a scholarship offer from the Orange staff.
Sadler is a standout junior at CIA Bella Vista in Phoenix, which is a member of arguably the country's top high school hoops conference, the 14-member Nike Elite Youth Basketball League Scholastic ("EYBL Scholastic").
As I've detailed in other recent columns, Syracuse basketball coaches also recently offered scholarships to several of Sadler's teammates at CIA Bella Vista, which is deemed a top-25 national squad at this point in 2024-25 by the experts at The Circuit.
Syracuse basketball target Miles Sadler, a 2026 4-star PG, has begun this season in a stellar fashion.
Late last month, CIA Bella Vista scored a massive 89-85 victory over Prolific Prep in Napa Valley, Calif., at the 2024 Heart of California Basketball Classic in Fresno, Calif. High school hoops experts view Prolific Prep as one of the top programs in 2024-25 and a significant contender to win a championship at the season-ending Chipotle Nationals in the spring of 2025.

Also at the end of November, CIA Bella Vista went toe to toe with another squad that experts anticipate with compete for a national title, Christopher Columbus High School in Miami. Christopher Columbus prevailed, 70-62, at the 2024 Holiday Hoopsgiving in Chamblee, Ga., per social media posts.

Experts say that Sadler played well in his team's close setback to Christopher Columbus, with On3 national analyst/scout Jamie Shaw lauding this Syracuse basketball recruiting target.

Sadler's recruiting process likely has a way to go, but he holds other offers from schools such as Mississippi State, Iowa, California, Arizona State, Cal State Northridge, Weber State and Texas State, according to recruiting services.
A standout during the most recent AAU season for the Phoenix-based Arizona Unity in Nike's EYBL league, Sadler within his class is rated as high as No. 30 overall, No. 5 at point guard and No. 4 in Arizona from On3.
To date, the Syracuse basketball staff has offered scholarships to at least 15 prospects in the 2026 cycle, with the most recent being four-star small forward Vaughn Karvala of Oregon High School in Oregon, Wis.
