Syracuse basketball is among the college programs recruiting 2027 four-star forward Godson Okokoh from Canada the hardest, according to recruiting analysts.

The 6-foot-8 Okokoh hails from Ottawa. This spring and summer on the AAU circuits, Okokoh is competing for the 17U squad of the Toronto-based Canada Elite in the Under Armour Association ("UAA") league.

A member of Canada Elite in the 16U division, 2028 five-star wing Isaiah Hamilton, is also a Syracuse basketball recruiting target.

Okokoh's scholarship offer sheet includes schools such as Arizona State, California, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma State, UCLA, Creighton, West Virginia and Southern California.

In the 2025-26 season, he suited up for Iowa United Prep in Des Moines, Iowa, which is part of the country's premier high school hoops conference, the 20-team Nike Elite Youth Basketball League Scholastic ("EYBL Scholastic").

Within the 2027 class, the industry-generated 247Sports Composite places Okokoh at No. 81 overall, No. 13 at power forward and No. 3 in Iowa. Over at the industry-generated Rivals Industry Ranking, he is No. 88 nationally, No. 25 at small forward and No. 3 in Iowa.

Last weekend, amid a live period on the AAU circuits, the UAA held a spring session at the Spooky Nook Champion Mill in the Cincinnati area. In three games there, per box scores on the UAA Web site, Okokoh averaged 13.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists per contest while connecting on 40 percent from the field, 35 percent from beyond the arc and 59 percent from the free-throw line.

In March, former Orange star guard Gerry McNamara was named the team's next head coach. McNamara and his assistants have been constructing their 2026-27 roster of late, while also ramping up their high school recruiting efforts, especially in the 2027 class, which entails rising seniors.

Recent offers in 2027 have gone out to five-star point guard King Gibson, four-star shooting guard RJ Moore and five-star point guard Nasir Anderson. The new 'Cuse staff has also re-offered a scholarship to 2027 four-star center Caleb Ourigou, while Syracuse basketball is also showing an interest in 2027 prospects including four-star forward Kager Knueppel, four-star wing Markus Kerr and four-star wing Munir Greig.
