Five-star power forward CJ Rosser, who holds a Syracuse basketball scholarship offer, is joining a Florida program that will have a stacked roster in the upcoming 2025-26 season.
The 6-foot-10 Rosser, the No. 1 national prospect in the 2027 class per the industry-generated Rivals Industry Ranking, is transferring to the Southeastern Preparatory Academy in Orlando, Fla.
At Southeastern Prep, he will join a 2025-26 roster that also includes 2027 five-star center Obinna Ekezie Jr., the No. 2 overall player in his cycle via the Rivals Industry Ranking. In July, the 7-foot Ekezie transferred to Southeastern Prep from another powerhouse Florida school, Prolific Prep in Fort Lauderdale.

Rosser, meanwhile, heads to Southeastern Prep from Northern Nash High School in Rocky Mount, N.C. High school hoops expert Samad Hines, a national recruiting analyst and scout, believes that Southeastern Prep will be a preseason top-10 team ahead of 2025-26 and significantly contend for the season-ending Chipotle Nationals come April of next year.

Syracuse basketball offered 5-star CJ Rosser over the summer.
When the 2027 contact period opened on June 15, Rosser was one of many prospects in this class who heard from the Orange coaching staff. His growing scholarship offer sheet, besides the 'Cuse, includes schools such as Florida State, Arkansas, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, Michigan, N.C. State, TCU, Texas A&M, Southern California, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Mississippi State, Alabama, Miami, North Carolina, Kansas and Texas, among others.

Rosser, in the latest AAU season, was deemed a standout by analysts and scouts for his play with the 16U squad of the Charlotte, N.C.-based Team United in Nike's EYBL league.
In July, at the EYBL's annual Peach Jam tournament in North Augusta, S.C., Rosser averaged 23.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, 3.4 blocks and 2.2 assists per game. During the EYBL's regular season over the spring and summer, prior to Peach Jam, he averaged 17.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.2 blocks per contest.
The month before, in June, Rosser helped guide USA Basketball to the gold medal at the FIBA U16 Men’s AmeriCup in Juarez, Mexico. At this event, he averaged 13.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.8 blocks per encounter.
As a freshman at Northern Nash, Rosser averaged 10.2 points and 5.2 rebounds per game, according to On3. Last season, as a sophomore, he tallied averaged of 18.8 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per affair.
In the 2025-26 season, his junior term, Rosser will contend for All-America honors at Southeastern Prep. Hopefully, he'll decide to visit Syracuse basketball at some point in the future.
To date, the Orange coaching staff has offered a scholarship to at least 13 prospects in the 2027 class, all of whom are rated either four stars or five stars.
