On June 15, Syracuse basketball coaches and their peers around the country could start initiating direct communication with 2027 prospects, as the contact period for this class opened.

According to posts on X from recruiting analysts, media members and others, since June 15, the Orange staff has reached out to at least two dozen players in the rising high school junior cycle.

Now, for some context, I wouldn't expect the 'Cuse to offer scholarships to all these 2027 prospects, although some of them will likely pick up Syracuse basketball offers in the future.

Still, having covered Orange hoops recruiting for a decade now, I do get the sense that 'Cuse coaches have proven particularly active in recent days making inquiries about a range of 2027 players, numerous of whom are rated either four or five stars by at least one recruiting service.

For additional context, to date, I'm aware of at least six offers that Syracuse basketball has made in the 2027 class. Those offers have gone to four-star big man Isaiah Hill of Pike High School in Indianapolis, five-star wing/forward Moussa Kamissoko of Long Island Lutheran High School in Brookville, N.Y.,Β five-star forward Baba OladotunΒ of James Hubert Blake High School in Silver Spring, Md.,Β five-star forward Zion GreenΒ of Camden High School in Camden, N.J., five-star power forward/center Paul Osaruyi of CIA Bella Vista in Phoenix, and four-star big man Caleb Ourigou of the Lawrence Woodmere Academy in Woodmere, N.Y.

Here are the 2027 prospects contacted by Syracuse basketball since June 15.
