Recruiting service 247Sports has published its first set of national rankings for the 2027 class, with a Syracuse basketball recruit debuting at No. 1 around the country and other Orange targets highly placed as well.

In these inaugural 2027 ratings, 247Sports is including its top-75 prospects within the high school sophomore class.

To date, I'm aware of at least four players in the 2027 cycle who have received scholarship offers from the 'Cuse staff, although undoubtedly, Syracuse basketball coaches are showing an interest in other high school sophomores.

For one, in late August of last year, numerous 2027 prospects competed in the team's annual Elite Camp. What's more, college coaches can't begin initiating direct communication with high school sophomores until mid-June of this year, so once that contact period opens, you'll likely see more 2027 players pick up Orange offers.

Where Syracuse basketball recruiting targets reside in initial 2027 national rankings from 247Sports.

Here are the four sophomores who have landed 'Cuse offers thus far:
Baba Oladotun
Forward
James Hubert Blake High School in Silver Spring, Md
Inaugural 247Sports rankings: Five stars, No. 1 overall, No. 1 at small forward and No. 1 in Maryland

Paul Osaruyi
Center
CIA Bella Vista in Phoenix
Inaugural 247Sports rankings: Four stars, No. 8 overall, No. 2 at center and No. 1 in Arizona (five stars and No. 6 nationally via the industry-generated 247Sports Composite)

Moussa Kamissoko
Wing/forward
Long Island Lutheran High School in Brookville, N.Y.
Inaugural 247Sports rankings: Four stars, No. 16 overall, No. 8 at small forward and No. 1 in New York (five stars and No. 13 nationally via the 247Sports Composite)

Zion Green
Power forward
Camden High School in Camden, N.J.
Inaugural 247Sports rankings: Four stars, No. 34 overall, No. 5 at power forward and No. 1 in New Jersey (five stars and No. 19 nationally via the 247Sports Composite)

In an article, 247Sports national basketball director Eric Bossi said of Oladotun, "A long, lean and mobile wing, Oladotun is already pushing 6-foot-10 with a lot of room to fill out his frame. He has range on his jump shot, he can put the ball on the floor and he’s an elite mover. Although he can be a bit inconsistent at times, Oladotum has shown jaw-dropping flashes of talent and edges out the competition at this point."

Two other 2027 prospects who played in the Orange's Elite Camp last August are Jacob Canton and Andrew Kretkowski, both of whom suit up for the Rutgers Preparatory School in Somerset, N.J.

At this juncture, I don't believe that the 'Cuse has offered either sophomore, but here are their initial rankings from 247Sports:
Andrew Kretkowski
Four stars, No. 42 overall, No. 14 at small forward and No. 2 in New Jersey

Jacob Canton
Four stars, No. 59 overall, No. 14 at point guard and No. 3 in New Jersey
