Syracuse basketball four-star and five-star recruiting targets in the 2027 and 2028 classes are expected to suit up this December in an elite high school showcase.

The field for the 2026 City of Palms Classic, one of the top prep hoops tournaments on the annual calendar, was recently announced. This year's event will take place from December 18 to December 23 at the Suncoast Credit Union Arena in Fort Myers, Fla.

Orange recruiting enthusiasts will want to monitor six teams. In the City of Palms Classic's 16-team traditional bracket, keep an eye on Christopher Columbus High School in Miami, the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., and the Montverde Academy in Montverde, Fla.

In the event's signature series, three programs to watch are Prolific Prep in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., the Southeastern Preparatory Academy in Orlando, Fla., and the Spire Academy in Geneva, Ohio.

Syracuse basketball recruits will vie for a City of Palms Classic title.

Columbus
Tai Bell, a 2028 five-star point guard, holds an Orange scholarship offer and will spend his junior year at Columbus. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Bell unofficially visited SU this past March. In the upcoming season, he will also play for the Cold Hearts in the Atlanta-based league Overtime Elite ("OTE").

IMG
The Ascenders' 2026-27 roster includes transfer Will Brunson, a 2028 five-star wing/small forward who has received an offer from the new 'Cuse staff. Recently, the Orange was in for the 6-foot-6, 185-pound Brunson at an IMG open gym, Inside the Loud House has reported.

Montverde
Two SU recruiting targets on the Eagles' 2026-27 roster are 2028 five-star wing Isaiah Hamilton from Canada and fellow 2028 five-star wing Xavier Skipworth from the DMV. The Syracuse staff was recently in for the 6-foot-7, 200-pound Hamilton and the 6-foot-6, 180-pound Skipworth at a Montverde open gym.

Prolific Prep
The Orange staff was recently at a Prolific Prep open gym to check in on 2027 five-star point guard Nasir Anderson, 2028 five-star point guard Michai White and 2028 five-star center Bamba Touray. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Anderson has Syracuse basketball in his top 10, but he canceled his official visit to the 'Cuse that was scheduled for this weekend, so it's not clear where things stand between him and the Orange. The 6-foot-2, 175-pound White recently picked up a scholarship offer from SU, while 'Cuse coaches are showing some level of interest in the 7-foot, 210-pound Touray.

Southeastern Prep
Four-star combo guard Ka'Shawn Gill, a top-100 national prospect in the 2028 class offered by Syracuse basketball this past July, has transferred to Southeastern Prep for the upcoming campaign. He will also compete in 2026-27 for RWE in OTE.

Spire
Moussa Kamissoko, a top-10 national prospect in the 2027 cycle, recently transferred to Spire for his senior season. The 6-foot-8, 180-pound Kamissoko, a Syracuse basketball priority target, officially visited the Hill earlier this month. Since the fall recruiting period opened up on September 9, 'Cuse coaches have been in for him at least twice at Spire.
