Isaiah Mizell, a 2025 three-star wide receiver from Florida who has Syracuse football among his quartet of finalists, will announce his college decision on July 10.
The 6-foot-1, 170-pound Mizell, who took an official visit to the Hill from May 31 to June 2, has a final four of the 'Cuse, Kansas State, Arizona and fellow Atlantic Coast Conference member Georgia Tech.
On Saturday, I came across several predictions in Mizell's recruitment on various recruiting Web sites. Over at 247Sports, there were at least two projections in Georgia Tech's direction. Via the On3 Web site, the Yellow Jackets had at least one prediction and a heavy lead per On3's recruiting prediction machine.
Meanwhile, on Rivals.com, there was at least one forecast for Mizell to pick Arizona.
Syracuse football is a finalist for 2025 three-star wide receiver Isaiah Mizell.
Mizell, a standout rising senior at Boone High School in Orlando, Fla., holds 15 offers, per his bio on the 247Sports Web site. The new 'Cuse staff, led by head coach Fran Brown, offered Mizell a scholarship on January 7 of this year.
Per his X page, as a junior at Boone during the 2023 season, Mizell hauled in 48 passes for 1,061 receiving yards and 21 scores through the air. He also added two kick-off return touchdowns.
When I wrote this piece, the industry-generated 247Sports Composite rated Mizell at No. 847 overall, No. 135 at wide receiver and No. 113 in Florida. The industry-generated On3 Industry Ranking placed him at No. 880 nationally, No. 140 at WR and No. 106 in Florida.
Mizell is a talented wide receiver in the 2025 class, so I'd love to see him call the Orange's name on July 10. At the same time, within the 'Cuse 2025 cycle, the team has at least 28 verbal pledges to date, including commitments from several three-star wide receivers.
Last weekend, on June 29, 2025 three-star wide receiver/athlete Gabe Daniels became one of the latest rising seniors to verbally commit to the Orange, when he selected Syracuse football over Kansas.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Daniels, out of the Greater Atlanta Christian School in Norcross, Ga., also officially visited the 'Cuse from May 31 to June 2.
On July 4, via his X page, 2025 five-star wide receiver and top-20 national prospect Winston Watkins Jr. disclosed a top 16, and Syracuse football made this list cut. The 5-foot-10, 172-pound Watkins, who holds an Orange offer and unofficially visited Central New York in late March, will spend his senior year at Venice High School in Venice, Fla.
