Jayden Mann, a 2025 three-star offensive lineman from New York City, plans to announce his college decision on Thursday, and Syracuse football is one of his finalists.
The 6-foot-4, 300-pound Mann is down to a top four of the Orange, Rutgers, Georgia Tech and West Virginia, he said in a post on his X page.
Mann is a rising senior at Cardinal Hayes High School in the Bronx, N.Y. One of his teammates at Cardinal Hayes is 2025 three-star quarterback Rich Belin, who was the 2023 MaxPreps player of the year in New York state when the team went 12-2 overall and won the New York Catholic High School Football League ("CHSFL") AAA championship.
In late June, Belin verbally committed to the 'Cuse. His brother, 2025 three-star defensive lineman Blake Belin, is also an Orange recruiting target in this cycle.
Syracuse football will soon know if it has prevailed for 2025 three-star OL Jayden Mann.
When I wrote this article on Wednesday evening, there was a prediction in the Orange's direction for Mann on Rivals.com. I didn't see any projections on the 247Sports Web site at the time of this writing.
On3's recruiting prediction machine, meanwhile, had the 'Cuse in the No. 2 spot in Mann's recruiting process, trailing Rutgers.
Mann picked up an offer from the Orange staff, led by head coach Fran Brown, in mid-February of this year. His full offer sheet, per recruiting Web sites, also includes schools such as Auburn, Boston College, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Michigan State, Minnesota, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Tennessee and West Virginia, among others.
According to his X page, Mann went on an official visit to Syracuse football in the late spring. Per his bio on the 247Sports Web site, between late May and late June, he officially visited all four of his finalists.
It's worth noting that the Orange's large 2025 class, to date, does include verbal pledges from numerous offensive linemen.
On Wednesday night, the industry-generated On3 Industry Ranking, within the 2025 cycle, had Mann at No. 979 overall, No. 62 at offensive tackle, and No. 7 in New York. He's the No. 12 prospect from the Empire State, per Rivals.com.
The 247Sports recruiting service has Mann as the No. 92 offensive tackle and the No. 9 player from New York. Over at ESPN, he's listed as the No. 47 offensive tackle and the No. 2 prospect out of New York within his class.
