Syracuse football coaches added to their quarterback room in the team's 2025 class on Thursday as three-star prospect Rich Belin verbally committed to the Orange, according to media reports.

The 6-foot, 185-pound Belin, who put forth an exceptional junior year in the 2023 season for his New York City program, was re-offered a scholarship by head coach Fran Brown and the new 'Cuse staff in early June.

Also earlier this month, Belin took an official visit to the Hill. Following that visit, Belin told top 247Sports analyst Mike McAllister that Syracuse football was in his top three, along with Delaware and Princeton.

Per 247Sports, Belin has picked up 25 scholarship offers throughout his recruiting process. A huge congrats and welcome from Orange Nation to Rich!

Let's delve into new Syracuse football 2025 pledge Rich Belin, a three-star quarterback.

Belin is a standout at Cardinal Hayes High School in the Bronx, N.Y. As a junior in the 2023 term, per MaxPreps, Belin completed 56.6 percent of his passes for 3,112 yards and 30 touchdowns, against just four interceptions.

The 2023 MaxPreps player of the year in New York state, Belin also rushed for 1,351 yards and scored an impressive 19 touchdowns on the ground. Last season, Cardinal Hayes went 12-2 overall and captured the New York Catholic High School Football League ("CHSFL") AAA championship.

Belin is the twin brother of 2025 three-star defensive lineman Blake Belin, who holds a scholarship offer from the Orange and took an official visit to the 'Cuse from May 31 to June 2. Additionally, Duke redshirt sophomore quarterback Henry Belin IV, a former Syracuse football recruit, is the older brother of Rich and Blake.

As someone who has a twin brother myself, I'd love to see Blake ultimately join Rich with the Orange program. According to 247Sports, in recent weeks, Blake Belin has taken other official visits to Georgia Tech, Virginia and Duke.

Per both the industry-generated 247Sports Composite and the industry-generated On3 Industry Ranking, Rich Belin is a nationally ranked prospect in the 2025 class, along with a top-100 quarterback and a top-20 player coming out of the Empire State.

With Belin on board, the 'Cuse now has 26 verbal commitments in its rising high school senior cycle. The Orange's 2025 class hovers around the top-20 nationally, according to several recruiting services.

As it pertains to 2025 quarterbacks, in late March, Syracuse football scored a verbal pledge from four-star Luke Carney of the Dallas Christian School in Mesquite, Texas.

Four-star Malik Washington, with Archbishop Spalding High School in Severn, Md., has the 'Cuse among his final four and is set to make his college decision on Friday afternoon. He's expected to choose his hometown team, Maryland, according to numerous recruiting analysts.

Three-star Cibastian Broughton from Fleming Island High School in Fleming Island, Fla., had the Orange in his top four, although earlier this week, he verbally committed to another finalist, Akron.

About a week ago, the Orange staff offered a scholarship to three-star Sebastian Circo of Western High School in Davie, Fla. However, with Belin on board, my assumption is that Circo isn't likely a "take," so to speak, for Syracuse football coaches any longer.
