Syracuse football coaches already have landed more than two dozen verbal pledges in their strong 2025 class, and they will soon know if they have added any more commits to this cycle.

Later this week and stretching into next week, several Orange 2025 four-star and three-star targets will make their college decisions known.

Among them are four-star cornerback/athlete Dawayne Galloway Jr. of Marion-Franklin High School in Columbus, Ohio, three-star defensive lineman Elijah Crawford of the McDonogh School in Owings Mills, Md., and four-star edge CJ May of Highland Home High School in Highland Home, Ala.

All three hold scholarship offers from Syracuse football and took official visits to the 'Cuse in recent weeks.

Syracuse football, to date, has a top-30 national class in 2025.

The 6-foot, 175-pound Galloway, who officially visited the Orange in mid-June, plans to announce his commitment on July 5. In late February, Galloway disclosed a top 12 that included Syracuse football.

When I wrote this article on Monday night, there was heavy analyst buzz in Kentucky's direction for Galloway on the 247Sports Web site, Rivals.com and the On3 Web site.

The 6-foot-4, 280-pound Crawford, who took an official visit to Central New York from June 7 to June 9, also plans to unveil his college choice on July 5. He has a final three of the 'Cuse, Rutgers and West Virginia.

On Rivals.com, at the time of this writing, there was at least one projection in the Orange's direction for Crawford on Rivals.com. Per On3's recruiting prediction machine, Rutgers sits at No. 1 in his recruiting process, closely followed by West Virginia and then Syracuse football.

The 6-foot-4, 225-pound May, who went on an official visit to the 'Cuse from June 14 to June 16, plans to announce on July 13. Based on comments from recruiting analysts, his recruitment could boil down to the Orange and Louisville, as the Cardinals have one analyst prediction in their favor on 247Sports.

On Monday, 2025 four-star athlete Matthew Outten of I.C. Norcom High School in Portsmouth, Va., verbally committed to Virginia Tech. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Outten had Syracuse football in his top four and officially visited the Hill from May 31 to June 2.

Cole Woodson, a 2025 three-star defensive back out of Battlefield High School in Haymarket, Va., verbally committed to Pittsburgh on Monday. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Woodson received a 'Cuse scholarship offer last month, around the time that he took an official visit to the Orange.

Over the weekend, three-star athlete Gabe Daniels out of the Greater Atlanta Christian School in Norcross, Ga., verbally committed to Syracuse football over Kansas. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Daniels, a wide receiver/cornerback, took an official visit to the 'Cuse from May 31 to June 2.

On Monday evening, Syracuse football had at least 26 verbal pledges in its rising high school senior cycle. Both the industry-generated 247Sports Composite and Rivals.com currently place this Orange class in the top 30 nationally.

One other quick note. After I initially wrote this piece, but before it published, 2025 three-star wide receiver Isaiah Mizell disclosed via his X page a final four of Syracuse football, Georgia Tech, Kansas State and Arizona.

The 6-foot-1, 170-pound Mizell, out of Boone High School in Orlando, Fla., plans to make his commitment announcement on July 10. He officially visited 'Cuse from May 31 to June 2 and was offered by the Orange staff in January of this year.
