Four-star shooting guard Kiyan Anthony, the fast-rising 2025 prospect and Syracuse basketball priority recruit, says that he talks "all the time" with Orange 2024 commit Elijah Moore, a four-star shooting guard.

When I read Anthony's comments on this subject, which came during a recent interview with my friend Charlie Parent on zagsblog.com, I just absolutely loved it.

Both the 6-foot-5 Anthony and the 6-foot-5 Moore hail from New York City. Anthony was offered a scholarship by the 'Cuse in November of 2022 and took an official visit to the Hill in October of last year.

Moore, rated as a top-60 national prospect and a top-10 shooting guard in the senior cycle, is officially signed with the Orange in its strong 2024 class.

Syracuse basketball target Kiyan Anthony says he's in regular contact with 'Cuse commit Elijah Moore.

Anthony is a rising senior at the powerhouse Long Island Lutheran High School in Brookville, N.Y. So far this spring on the AAU circuit, Anthony has proven an elite performer while competing for the 17U squad of the Baltimore-based Team Melo in Nikeโ€™s EYBL league.

Last weekend, the EYBL circuit conducted a session in Indianapolis amid an NCAA live period, and per media reports, the Orange staff was in attendance for several of Anthony's games.

In his interview with Parent, Anthony said that he and Moore "talk all the time. He tells me heโ€™s excited to go there, the atmosphere is good, and the college campus is good. Iโ€™m looking forward to seeing him play and possibly teaming up with him."

The possibility of Anthony and Moore playing together for Syracuse basketball in the future is tantalizing. Within the 2025 class, Anthony is rated as high as No. 29 nationally by On3, and multiple recruiting services deem him a top-10 shooting guard and the No. 1 prospect coming out of New York state in his cycle.

After the current AAU season winds down, Anthony told Parent that he's eyeing some upcoming visits. Besides the Orange, Anthony has also officially visited fellow Atlantic Coast Conference member Florida State.

Parent writes that future visits for Anthony could include to Syracuse basketball and Florida State again, as well as to Arizona State, Indiana, Tennessee and Auburn. Arizona State recently offered Anthony, while Auburn is showing interest in him but has yet to offer.

Given that Anthony's father won a national championship with the 'Cuse in 2003, a lot of Syracuse basketball fans think that Anthony is a lock to ultimately commit to the Orange. However, he has said many times that he's keeping his options open, and Anthony continues to see his list of suitors grow, particularly as he stars on the AAU circuit.
