To date, Syracuse basketball has secured four commitments in its 2024 recruiting class, with two at the high school level and two via the transfer portal.

When I wrote this article on Tuesday night, the Orange's 2024 cycle checked in at No. 10 across the country, according to the industry-generated On3 Industry Ranking.

These 'Cuse commits are 2024 five-star power forward Donnie Freeman from Washington, D.C., 2024 four-star shooting guard Elijah Moore from New York City, Colorado senior center Eddie Lampkin Jr., and Delaware senior forward Jyáre Davis.

In national transfer rankings this off-season, both Lampkin and Davis check in as four-star prospects, according to several recruiting services.

Multiple recruiting Web sites rate Freeman as a top-15 national prospect and the No. 1 power forward in the high school senior cycle. Moore, meanwhile, is a top-60 overall player and a top-10 shooting guard in the 2024 class, according to 247Sports.

Syracuse basketball has a strong 2024 class of both high school seniors and college transfers.

On the 247Sports Web site, the 'Cuse 2024 class, at the time of this writing, was No. 18 overall around the country, factoring in both high school seniors and college transfers.

At the high school level only, the Orange's two-member 2024 cycle on the 247Sports Web site was No. 31 nationally, while in the transfer market, the Syracuse basketball two-member 2024 class was No. 32 overall, per 247Sports.

Over at Rivals.com, the Orange's high school senior cycle was No. 19 around the country, which is impressive, given that many college squads with three, four or even five high school senior commits were ranked behind this 'Cuse class.

It remains to be seen if Syracuse basketball coaches add more players ahead of the 2024-25 campaign. So far this off-season, at least six players from the team's 2023-24 roster have hit the portal, and sophomore point guard Judah Mintz is headed to the 2024 NBA Draft.

As such, the Orange staff does have a few scholarships still available for 2024-25, and it wouldn't surprise me if the 'Cuse brings on board at least one or two more players for the next term.

Regardless, Syracuse basketball does have a solid 2024 recruiting cycle made up of a five-star high school senior, a four-star high school senior, and two four-star transfer prospects.
