If the predictions coming in from national analysts and other recruiting experts hold true, it doesn't look like Syracuse basketball is going to prevail for 2025 four-star wing Ryder Frost from Massachusetts.

The 6-foot-6 Frost, a fast-rising top-100 national prospect in the senior class, is set to announce his college decision this Friday, Sept. 27, at 4 pm via the 247Sports YouTube channel.

According to 247Sports national analyst Dushawn London, Frost has a final six of the Orange, Michigan, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Iowa and Virginia Tech. He has officially visited all of these schools.

Over the past two days, at least four projections have arrived in Notre Dame's direction for Frost between the 247Sports Web site, Rivals.com and the On3 Web site.

One of those predictions is from On3 national analyst/scout Jamie Shaw, who is widely regarded as one of the top recruiting experts in the business. Understandably, this isn't a great sign for the 'Cuse.

Syracuse basketball is in the final six of 2025 four-star wing Ryder Frost.

Frost proved a huge stock riser this spring and summer as he shined for the 17U team of the Boston-based Middlesex Magic in the Under Armour Association league.

National analysts and scouts praise him for his long-distance shooting prowess and his strong frame. In an evaluation posted in mid-July, 247Sports director of scouting Adam Finkelstein said in part that Frost is "one of the most potent floor-spacers in the class, with shot-making to be weaponized in a team's playbook, but still needs to find more ways to consistently impact a high-level game when his shots aren't falling."

A senior at the Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, N.H., Frost in recent months saw his offer sheet expand to more than two dozen, based in part on his strong play during the most recent AAU season.

The Orange staff offered a scholarship to him in late May. In late June, Frost took an official visit to Syracuse basketball. In several interviews, he's spoken positively about the 'Cuse program.

Assuming that Syracuse basketball doesn't hear its name called on Friday when Frost makes his commitment announcement, Orange coaches will turn their attention to several other 2025 four-star targets, such as shooting guard Kiyan Anthony from New York City, point guard Tyler Jackson from Baltimore, wing/small forward Shon Abaev from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and big man Asher Elson from New York City.

In late May, 'Cuse got on the board with its 2025 cycle when five-star forward and top-15 national prospect Sadiq White Jr. from Charlotte, N.C., verbally committed to the Orange. Last weekend, White took an official visit to Syracuse basketball after having previously gone on two unofficial visits to the 'Cuse.
