Syracuse basketball has one elite prospect to date in its 2025 class, and the Orange staff is pursuing numerous other highly ranked players in this cycle.

In late May, 2025 five-star forward Sadiq White Jr. from Charlotte, N.C., verbally committed to the 'Cuse. And the 6-foot-8 White says he's doing his part to recruit other top-flight 2025 targets to ultimately join him on the Hill.

Top writer Sam Lance, in a recent article on zagsblog.com, chatted with White about the Orange's 2025 class. White says that he's actively recruiting a trio of four-star guards in this cycle, and they are Kiyan Anthony, Tyler Jackson and Acaden Lewis.

All three of them are priority recruits for Syracuse basketball in the 2025 class. "I’m trying to get Acaden, bring Kiyan home," White told Lance. "We’re trying to make it big man. I’m doing my part."

Yes, please. Much respect to Sadiq here!

Syracuse basketball is heavily in the mix for several 2025 four-star and five-star prospects.

The 6-foot-5 Anthony, a talented shooting guard and a top-30 national prospect out of New York City, received a scholarship offer from the Orange in November of 2022. He took an official visit to the 'Cuse last October and has said he plans to take visits to several college campuses in the upcoming months, including a possible return to the Hill.

The 6-foot-3 Jackson, who hails from Baltimore, picked up a Syracuse basketball offer in April of 2023. This past January, he went on an official visit to the Orange, and that was his first official visit in his recruitment.

Similar to Anthony, Jackson has said he plans to take more visits in the coming months. Back in late April, Jackson, a top-50 overall player in the rising high school senior cycle, said that he's in frequent contact with the 'Cuse staff.

It should be noted that Anthony and Jackson are good friends. During the most recent AAU season, they played together for the 17U squad of the Baltimore-based Team Melo on Nike's EYBL circuit.

Earlier this month, the 6-foot-3 Lewis released a top eight that includes Syracuse basketball, Kentucky, two-time defending national champion UConn, North Carolina, Duke, Tennessee, Michigan and Auburn.

Lewis, a fast-rising top-40 national prospect from Washington, D.C., has said that he plans to take official visits to all eight of his finalists. The Orange offered a scholarship to him in late April of this year, and Syracuse basketball coaches have recruited Lewis hard ever since.

Now, while the 'Cuse may be in hot pursuit of Anthony, Jackson and Lewis, is Syracuse basketball likely to land pledges from all three of them? This is just my opinion, but I'd have to say probably not.

Anthony is a shooting guard. At his height, if he continues to add length, perhaps he could evolve into a small forward on the wing, too. On recruiting Web sites, both Jackson and Lewis are listed as either point guards or combo guards.

Realistically, if Syracuse basketball could ultimately prevail for Anthony and then either Jackson or Lewis, that would prove a terrific 2025 class, when you factor in White as well as several other targets who the Orange is after in this cycle.
