This week, Rivals.com refreshed its 2025 national rankings of the top-150 players in the junior cycle, and numerous Syracuse basketball four-star priority targets saw their ratings significantly climb.

Many Orange recruits have performed well in the 2023-24 high school hoops season that is currently winding down. This includes competition within their respective conferences and leagues, as well as during showcase events.

To date, the ‘Cuse coaching staff has offered scholarships to nearly 20 prospects in the 2025 class. However, as far as I can tell, these days, the Orange is focusing its efforts in this cycle on up to nine targets.

Syracuse basketball 2025 four-star recruits jumped in new Rivals.com rankings.

London Jemison
Up 47 spots to No. 55
Jemison, a small forward out of Connecticut, has proven one of the fastest-rising national prospects in the junior class. He took an official visit to the ‘Cuse in late December of last year.

Cam Ward
Up 29 spots to No. 94
One of the top players in the talent-rich Washington, D.C., market, Ward had a big leap in the new Rivals.com ratings, although the talented forward is still under-rated by this recruiting service, in my humble opinion.

Nigel James
Up 17 spots to No. 116
James, a versatile point guard from New York state, continues to move up in 2025 national rankings. He took an unofficial visit to SU last August and officially visited Syracuse basketball the following month.

Derek Dixon
Up 15 spots to No. 65
The combo guard, who took an official visit to the Orange in late September of last year, has put forth an excellent junior term for his high school program in D.C.

Sadiq White Jr.
Up 10 spots to No. 26
The elite forward from Charlotte, N.C., has unofficially visited Syracuse basketball twice. He did so in mid-September of last year, as well as in late February of 2024 for Jim Boeheim Day.

Kiyan Anthony
Up 7 spots to No. 39
The New York City shooting guard, who keeps rising in national rankings for this class, went on an official visit to the Orange in late October of last year.

Besides these six Syracuse basketball recruits, other 2025 targets for the ‘Cuse include point guards Tyler Jackson and Jerry Easter II, along with power forward/center Matthew Gilhool.

Easter is No. 35, per Rivals.com. Jackson, who officially visited the Orange in late January of 2024, is No. 29. Gilhool, who has visited Syracuse basketball several times, including for the recent Jim Boeheim Day, is No. 76.
