Next month, the contact period will open up for 2026 prospects, enabling Syracuse basketball coaches and their peers around the country to begin initiating direct contact with rising high school juniors.
Once that contact period opens, college coaches nationwide, including the Orange staff, are likely to dole out some scholarship offers to players in the 2026 class.
To date, I'm aware of at least eight prospects in this cycle who have received offers from 'Cuse coaches, while the Orange has reportedly showed interest in other 2026 players.
Here are various 2026 prospects who I'd like to see Syracuse basketball offer in June.
As context, these are the rising high school juniors who have picked up 'Cuse offers at this juncture:
•Five-star guard/small forward Alex Constanza out of the Westminster Academy in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
•Five-star shooting guard Jordan Smith Jr. out of St. Paul VI Catholic High School in Chantilly, Va. Smith is planning to unofficially visit the 'Cuse next month.
•Five-star small forward Maximo Adams out of Junipero Serra High School in Gardena, Calif.
•Four-star point guard Deron Rippey Jr. out of the Blair Academy in Blairstown, N.J., who took an unofficial visit to the Hill in late February of this year.
•Four-star point guard Neiko Mundey out of the Shabach Christian Academy in Landover, Md., who has played in the Orange's annual Elite Camp.
•Four-star wing Imahri Wooten out of the Putnam Science Academy in Putnam, Conn., who unofficially visited the 'Cuse last October.
•Four-star guard Prince-Alexander Moody out of Bishop McNamara High School in Forestville, Md., who has competed in SU's Elite Camp.
•Four-star point guard Anthony Brown, who last season suited up for St. Paul VI Catholic High School in Chantilly, Va., but plans to transfer to a new program. He has played in the Syracuse basketball Elite Camp.
2026 prospects who I'm hopeful that the Orange will offer in June:
•Four-star guard Jasiah Jervis out of Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains, N.Y. National analysts have noted that the 'Cuse is already showing an interest in Jervis.
•Four-star combo guard Parker Robinson out of the Atlanta-based professional league Overtime Elite. Robinson, in late August of last year, played in the 'Cuse Elite Camp. He hails from the Washington, D.C., region, which is a key recruiting footprint for Syracuse basketball coaches.
•Four-star guard/wing Adam Oumiddoch out of Atlanta-based Overtime Elite. Like Robinson, Oumiddoch is from the D.C. area. In late July of 2023, Oumiddoch told media outlet Pro Insight that Syracuse basketball was one of the college squads on his radar.
•Five-star combo guard Quincy Wadley out of Bishop O'Connell High School in Arlington, Va. Wadley is an elite prospect residing in the DMV, where the 'Cuse staff has deep recruiting ties.
•Five-star point guard Dylan Mingo out of Long Island Lutheran High School in Brookville, N.Y., a team whose roster also includes Syracuse basketball 2025 priority target Kiyan Anthony, a four-star shooting guard.
•Four-star center Ben Ahmed out of the Putnam Science Academy in Putnam, Conn., where he plays alongside Orange recruit Imahri Wooten.
•Four-star shooting guard Felipe Quinones out of the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. This past season, Syracuse basketball 2024 commit Donnie Freeman, a five-star power forward, was a standout at IMG.
•Four-star power forward Sebastian Wilkins out of the Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, N.H., a squad that has sent numerous of its players to the Hill over the years.
•Four-star shooting guard Qayden Samuels out of Bishop McNamara High School in Forestville, Md. Samuels suits up at Bishop McNamara alongside Prince-Alexander Moody, who holds a 'Cuse offer in this cycle.
